Global greenhouse gas emissions must be massively reduced to meet the Paris climate protection targets. Our climate protection projects not only save CO₂, but also promote sustainable development through technology transfer and poverty reduction.
For our team in Berlin, we are looking for a project manager.
Project Management
- Responsible for the conception and planning of technical projects in the global south, e.g. in renewable energies, and oversee technical implementation.
- Focus areas:
- Global South: expansion of renewable energies, e.g. through rural electrification.
- Direct Air Capture: development and construction of DAC pilot plants.
- Visit projects on site once or twice a year for up to approximately 10 days.
- Draft and negotiate contracts with local partners and monitor economic and environmental implementation.
- Ensure CO₂ certification (CDM and Gold Standard or successors) and implementation targets are achieved; meet time and budget targets.
- Take on cross‑sectional tasks for all climate protection projects.
Key Account Management
- Manage major customers as key account manager for climate protection projects.
- Participate in tenders of major customers; direct contact with customers and sales team.
- Prepare materials and discussions with key accounts for the sales department and actively participate.
Your profile
- An above‑average degree in engineering, technical environmental protection or natural sciences.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience with practical, technical relevance.
- Hands‑on mentality and entrepreneurial thinking.
- Self‑initiative, independent working style.
- Expertise and commitment in environmental/climate protection.
- Business‑fluent knowledge of German and English.
