N26 in Berlin/BARCELONA seeks a Product Manager for the Product Factory within the Core Systems team to drive modular, configurable, API-driven banking products across Europe. You own internal platforms that enable rapid product launches with automated compliance and data flows.

You will build self-service configuration tools, define platform roadmaps, manage the central product catalog, and collaborate across product, design and engineering while ensuring market rollouts comply with governance

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of Product Management experience in FinTech or API-driven platforms.
• Strong backend and data fluency; ability to speak engineering language.
• Experience with centralized product catalogs or configuration engines.
• Proven vendor management with external partners is a plus.
• Bachelor's in STEM, Business, or Economics; MBA/MS is a plus.

• Manage the Central Product Catalog: Maintain and scale the central system of record for N26's financial features, interest rates, limits, and fee structures, ensuring high system availability and data integrity.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with other product managers, designers, and core engineers to continuously improve N26's platform architecture, ensuring it aligns with global business goals.
• Navigate Compliance & Rollouts: Work closely with cross-functional domains, including Local Market Teams, Legal, Operations, and Compliance to ensure that automated compliance guardrails are baked directly into the Product Factory framework for seamless market rollouts.
• Vendor & Third-Party Integration: Oversee technical relationships and integrations with high-engagement third-party core banking providers and external financial vendors.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate, technically-minded Product Manager - Product Factory to join our Core Systems team. Our mission is to disrupt traditional core banking technology standards by building highly configurable, modular, and automated solutions that enable rapid financial product launches across Europe, backed by automated compliance and seamless data flows.

The Core Systems segment is split between our Barcelona and Berlin, which serve as the primary product and tech hubs for N26 globally.

What is the "Product Factory"?

The Product Factory is the central engine room of N26’s core banking platform. Rather than hardcoding software from scratch for every new country or account type, the Product Factory builds the modular "building blocks" (flexible APIs, internal configuration engines, and a centralized product catalog) of the bank.

As the Product Manager for this group, you will own the internal platforms that allow N26 to dynamically mix, match, and launch new financial products (like specialized savings accounts, premium tiers, or localized lending features) in a highly competitive, scalable, and compliant manner.

In this role you will:

What you need to be successful:

• Experience: 4+ years of Product Management experience, ideally gained within a FinTech, modern banking environment, core banking provider, or a highly complex platform/API-driven ecosystem.
• Technical & Data Acumen: Strong familiarity with backend architectures, relational databases, system integrations, and building/managing internal API products. You speak the language of engineering effortlessly.
• Domain Knowledge: Proven experience working with centralized digital product catalogs, configuration engines, or complex financial orchestration systems.
• Vendor Management: Previous experience managing high-engagement third-party vendors and aligning external roadmaps with internal engineering goals is a major plus.
• Education: Undergraduate degree in a STEM field, Business, or Economics. An MBA, MS, or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
• Execution & Communication: An autonomous, adaptive operator with an entrepreneurial mindset, a strong bias for action, and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Agile Mastery: A deep understanding of agile product development, continuous integration, and scalable delivery practices.
