SpotmyEnergy GmbH in Berlin is hiring a Product Growth Engineer to own the growth tech stack. You will convert visitors on our website and landing pages into customers, working closely with a performance marketer, Growth PM and sales lead.
You’ll ship changes across the stack in hours (React, Supabase, Vercel), build test infrastructure (Posthog) and integrate with existing systems. You are the first technical hire in growth and help shape the product's scale.
Deine Mission We lower electricity bills for over 10.000 home owners in Germany. Thousands of batteries, EVs and heatpumps use energy when it is cheap, saving their owners money and helping the grid. As a product engineer on the growth team, your goal is to turn visitors on our website and landing pages into customers in the most effective way. We are doubling our lead volume and sales capacity every month for the next few months. You build and own the whole tech-stack for that growth. That means fast iterations and A/B testing on conversion surfaces, as well as building what matters for scale and integrating it with the existing tech infrastructure. You are the first technical hire within the growth team. In your day-to-day, you work with a performance marketer, Growth PM and sales lead. You report directly to the CTO and are a part of an experienced tech-team to support you with larger decisions and integration of existing infrastructure. Different from a normal engineer, you do not only ask "How should we build it", but also "Why should we build it".
Customer Conversion Visitors land on our conversion surfaces (website and landing pages), express their interest and are converted into customers - with or without sales people in the loop.
Right now, the B2C growth team uses an entirely separate tech-stack for fast iteration. There are a few points where we connect with existing systems. As we scale, the goal is to have a system that remains flexible and is easy to maintain. In many cases, that means integrating with the technical infrastructure we use in the rest of the company. In others, that means scaling purpose-built solutions.
Experience: You have > 2 years experience building full-stack web apps of your own and are comfortable working across the stack with React, TypeScript and a modern serverless stack (Supabase,Vercel). You have experience integrating APIs and third-party systems, keeping data transfers between frontend, backend, CRM and internal services stable and secure.
You have built end-customer-facing web applications that keep up with growth.
You hold a high bar on backend and integrations, knowing when speed wins and when cleanliness matters. You measure your success in outcomes - conversion rates, not tickets. You are proactive and comfortable making decisions on your own.
Responsibility from day one. You are the first dedicated engineering capacity on the growth team. The product is yours to own and shape. Your work has the most measurable impact on the trajectory of the company: New customers. You make decisions. You don't just execute, but make decisions yourself within a small team. No hierarchies, direct collaboration with marketing, growth PM, sales and tech. On backend and integrations, the tech-team supports you with fast reviews to ensure quality as we grow.
