Solactive AG in Frankfurt is seeking a Senior Software Developer for the Market Data team to design and implement scalable data processing and API solutions. You will work closely with business analysts and data engineers to deliver high-availability pipelines and low-latency services in a fast-paced FinTech environment.

You will contribute to ETL processes, data modeling, and in-house consultancy, while mentoring others and guiding best practices.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of software development, data engineering, or relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of Python development experience.
• Strong understanding of microservices, design patterns, and dynamic dispatch.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and ORM frameworks.
• Cloud / CI/CD: Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and deployment pipelines.
• Fluent English and strong mentoring abilities.

Job Overview

Our Market Data team forms an essential link between our business and infrastructure teams: it defines and implements business processes in data pipelines, monitors existing services, and thereby provides the best service to our customers. As a Senior Software Developer in our Market Data team, you will be working on a broad set of real-world problems. Highly effective data management, resilience, and fail-over strategies are some of our most important topics. In close collaboration with our business analysts and data engineers, you will create high-performance data processing solutions that scale using emerging technologies and approaches and help us define new best practices. Your Tasks

Your Profile

• 8+ years of software development, data engineering, or relevant experience, including at least 5 years of in-depth Python experience.
• Software Engineering: good understanding of microservice architectures, Liskov's Substitution Principle, design patterns, and dynamic dispatch.
• Databases: experience with at least one SQL/NoSQL database, such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, including schema definition and evolution, as well as ORM frameworks such as SQLAlchemy, JPA, or Hibernate.
• Cloud / Cloud-native development: Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• CI/CD: ability to define build pipelines and perform, validate, and monitor deployments.
• Good understanding of microservice architectures.
• Ability to define Docker images according to the Twelve-Factor App methodology.
• Git: ability to use Git from the command line and apply version-control management practices (e.g., Gitflow, trunk-based development).
• Strong technical mentoring skills.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
• Communication: ability to illustrate ideas and concepts with figurative examples to both stakeholders and developers.
• Ability to perceive the business domain in terms of mathematical structures is appreciated.
