Kleinanzeigen seeks a product leader to guide the KAI conversational and agentic experience, shaping the roadmap from conversational search to a broader AI companion for private buyers and sellers.

You will work with Engineering, Design and Data Science to deliver scalable, trustworthy AI experiences, reporting to the Head of Product, Core Experience. Strong AI fluency and a hands-on approach are essential.

Job Description

Join us to shape our AI companion for private buyers and sellers. You’ll own the evolution from conversational search to agentic experiences that help millions of users find, evaluate and trade more effectively. Working closely with Engineering, Design and Data Science, you’ll turn emerging AI capabilities into trustworthy, scalable consumer experiences. This role has high direct strategic influence and you will work closely with the Head of Product and CPO on one of the company’s defining bets.

This is a hybrid role, our office is in Berlin. You report to the Head of Product, Core Experience.

Job requirements

Who You Are

• You bring significant product management experience and have shipped AI-powered or agentic products for end customers in production, with evidence of taking products from experimentation to reliable, scaled experiences.
• You have strong technical fluency across modern AI systems, including agent orchestration, LLM tool use, retrieval, memory and evaluation, and can effectively partner with and challenge technical teams.
• You have hands‑on experience defining and using AI evaluation approaches to make product decisions and understand the trade‑offs involved in building trustworthy AI experiences.
• You understand conversational product experiences and know how to translate complex user needs into intuitive multi-turn interactions. Experience with marketplace, search or discovery products is a strong plus.
• You combine strategic thinking with a hands‑on approach: you are comfortable navigating ambiguity, testing assumptions and using data, experimentation and user insight to determine what to build next. English fluency is required; German skills are a plus.

• Identify, prioritise and deliver high-impact AI use cases across search, discovery, buying decision support, customer support and marketplace interactions, using experimentation and measurable user outcomes to guide decisions.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Design and Data Science to shape a robust and scalable agentic platform, including orchestration, memory, tool use and evaluation capabilities.
• Set up evaluations to assess product quality, reliability, safety and user value before and after launching new capabilities.
• Enable other product teams to build AI-powered experiences on shared KAI capabilities, creating scalable approaches rather than duplicating infrastructure.
• Provide strategic product leadership across KAI, aligning senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams around priorities, trade-offs and measurable outcomes.
