You will ensure a vehicle-level perspective, translating requirements into measurable KPIs, defining VTS and validation strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver a competitive total vehicle experience.

Qualifikationen

• 5–8 years of experience in vehicle-level evaluation and tuning.
• Experience in European OEM or Tier-1 environments.
• Strong understanding of Powertrain systems (ICE, Hybrid, or EV).
• Knowledge of WLTP and real-world consumption evaluation.
• Fluent English is required.
• Valid driving license (EU).

For our R&D Center in Raunheim, near Frankfurt, we are looking for a Powertrain System Integration Engineer to lead the definition and development of Performance, Drivability, Charging and Energy Efficiency attributes for vehicles targeting the European market.

This role requires a strong vehicle-level perspective, ensuring that powertrain-related functions to deliver a consistent and competitive overall vehicle experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Define vehicle-level targets for:
• Performance (e.g. acceleration, high-speed capability)
• Drivability (e.g. tip-in/out response, launch behavior, smoothness)
• Energy efficiency (WLTP and real-world consumption)
• Develop and maintain Vehicle Technical Specifications (VTS):
• Analyze European market requirements and use cases, including:
• Evaluate and balance attribute trade-offs at vehicle level
• Lead analysis of field and market issues
• Conduct benchmarking of European competitors and support target positioning
• Define validation strategies and test scenarios

Requirements:

Minimum 5–8 years of experience in:

• Proven experience in vehicle-level evaluation and tuning
• Experience in European OEM or Tier-1 environments is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of Powertrain systems (ICE, Hybrid, or EV)

Experience in:

• Vehicle Technical Specification (VTS) definition
• Requirement engineering and target cascading
• Translating subjective vehicle behavior into objective KPIs

Good knowledge of:

• European driving conditions and customer expectations
• WLTP and real-world consumption evaluation
• Fluent English is required
• Valid driving license (EU)
