Zusammenfassung

V2X is seeking a Power Systems Specialist to coordinate data for 2d Theater Signal Brigade facilities in Germany and maintain power-system information, including location, model, serials, capacity, and warranty data. The role supports OPMAS-E requirements, PMCS, and quarterly appendices, ensuring proper authority for non-contracted systems.

Qualifikationen

  • High School Graduate and/or a U.S. Technical Vocational school graduate in the applicable field or equivalent.
  • Individual shall operate desktop computer software to include Microsoft office tools, MS outlook (email), word processing, graphics, spreadsheets and other software programs used by the US Forces.
  • Three (3) years of progressive experience in the field and with 2d TSB power systems.
  • Knowledge of power condition equipment such as rectifier, uninterruptible power supplies, inverters and station batteries maintenance of communication facilities.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English to include the ability to comprehend and interpret complex technical data.
  • Possess or be able to obtain a German driver license and U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operators Identification Card (OF346).
  • Ability to perform the physical rigors as demanded in this position.
  • The individual must be able to manually lift up to 50lbs.
  • This position requires travel and overnight stays in Germany and other countries.
  • Responsible for all Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) in their possession or under their control.

Aufgaben

  • Coordinate with 2d TSB S4 Engineers to obtain and maintain data concerning all Power Systems for 2d TSB, including but not limited to: Full Location, Model, Serial Number, capacity and current load, date installed, Warranty information (if in place), O&M unit/agency responsible for PMCS, higher-level vender support if required, Life-Cycle Replacement information to include timeline, and status. The PSTC shall maintain this information in a spreadsheet that will also clearly identify the power systems that are included in the OPMAS-E Appendices for OPMAS-E support.
  • Update the appropriate Appendix information and provide to the OPMAS-E DPM and PM on a quarterly basis, ensuring that systems that are not in the contract are not serviced by OPMAS-E Power Technicians without proper authority.
  • Provide reports as requested and required to U.S. Government personnel in 2d TSB and to OPMAS-E leadership.
  • When required, perform scheduled and demand maintenance on various types of rectifiers, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS/USV), and station batteries for 2d TSB as listed in the OPMAS-E PWS Appendices. The workload includes identification of possible failures, developing risk mitigation plan, and coordinating maintenance required to monitor the condition of rectifier systems and station batteries for deterioration or other threats. The scheduled maintenance includes regular inspections of rectifiers, uninterruptible power supplies and batteries to include impedance and load testing. This position provides assistance and training to other team members as required or directed by the Senior Power Specialist.
  • Create and/or maintain Single-Line power diagrams for each location for availability to OPMAS-E Power personnel and 2D TSB S4 Engineers.
  • Operates, utilizes, and provides support for OJT on applicable Test Measurement Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) and ancillary equipment to assist and determine the health of the station and UPS/USV batteries systems.

Coordinate with 2D TSB S4 Engineers to obtain and maintain data concerning Power Systems for all U.S. Army 2nd Theater Signal Brigade (2d TSB) facilities and locations. Update Appendix information and provide reports as requested and required. Assist with or complete surveys of power systems. When required, perform scheduled and demand maintenance. This Position is located in Wackernheim, Germany.


Responsibilities

Qualifications

Education:

    Must-haves and additional Requirements:

  • A journeyman’s certificate proving a satisfactory result as electrical machinery builder (Elektromaschinenbauer), or as Electrician (Elektriker or Elektroinstallateur), or as industrial electronics technician (Industrie-Elektroniker), or a career proving equivalent experience is required.


  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English to include the ability to comprehend and interpret complex technical data.
