Klimafolgenmonitor sucht eine/n Postdoktorand/in für Agentic AI in der Computational Modeling. Die Stelle ist auf zwei Jahre angelegt und beginnt baldmöglichst.

Bewerberinnen und Bewerber sollten einen Master- und Doktortitel in verwandten Feldern besitzen und starke Programmierkenntnisse in Python sowie idealerweise C++ vorweisen. Es wird Wert auf exzellente Forschungsleistung, Erfahrung in Code-Entwicklung sowie gute Englischkenntnisse gelegt.

Qualifikationen

• Master- und PhD-Abschluss in computational engineering, angewandter Mathematik, Informatik oder verwandtem Bereich.
• Sehr gute Programmierkenntnisse in Python; idealerweise auch C++.
• Ausgeprägte Erfahrungen in Code-Entwicklung und wissenschaftlichem Arbeiten.
• Gute Englischkenntnisse zur wissenschaftlichen Kommunikation.

Aufgaben

• Entwicklung von computergestützten Modellen und Durchführen von Simulationen in Wissenschaft & Technik.
• Arbeit im Rahmen eines zweijährigen Postdoktors im Bereich agentischer KI in der Rechnermodellierung.
• Dokumentation, Publikation und Präsentation der Ergebnisse.

Developing computational models and running computer simulations in science and engineering still requires substantial expert knowledge. Agentic artificial intelligence (Al) offers a great opportunity to automate these demanding tasks to a large extent. We are offering a 2-year position, as soon as possible, as a postdoctoral researcher in the area of agentic AI in computational modeling.

Your profile

You should have a master's degree and PhD degree in computational engineering, applied mathematics, computer science, or any other field closely related to computational modeling in science and engineering. You have a strong background in the theoretical foundations of engineering, science and applied mathematics.

You have demonstrated your excellent skills by outstanding grades during your bachelor's and master's program, in particular in those courses related to this call. You have very good programming skills in Python and ideally also C++.

Proven experience in code development is crucial and will be checked during the job interview. Moreover, you have strong skills in communicating science in English.
