Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie (HZB) invites applications for a Postdoc in the Joint Research Group for Hybrid Material Systems. You will study electronic structure of modern semiconductors using AR-UPS and XPS, and contribute to operando techniques and publications.
We seek a PhD with expertise in semiconductor carrier dynamics, data fitting, and programming in Python and Matlab, plus excellent communication and bilingual German/English proficiency.
The Joint Research Group for Hybrid Material Systems is a cooperation between the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin and the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. The focus of our research lies on modern semiconductors and their interfaces in devices. We are using synchrotron-based investigation methods to reveal the electronic structure (photoelectron spectroscopy).As a scientist in our team you will perform research that encompasses the study of the electronic structure of modern semiconductor thin-films and their interfaces with angle-resolved ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (AR-UPS) and XPS. Moreover, you will further develop operando AR-UPS,CFS-YS,NEXAFS,and XPS.

Fixed term contract for 24 months. The salary is based on the Collective Agreement for the German Public Service (TVöD-Bund).
