Qualifikationen

About the client and role

• Our client, a manufacturing company, is in search of a Plant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of its production facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance while meeting production, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• This role will involve leading plant teams, improving operational processes, coordinating with key internal stakeholders, and supporting the continued development of the manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of daily plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, logistics, and operational performance.
• Lead and develop plant employees and management teams to achieve production, quality, safety, and efficiency objectives.
• Ensure production targets and customer requirements are achieved within agreed timelines.
• Monitor plant performance and implement measures to improve productivity, quality, cost, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental, and company standards.
• Identify operational issues and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes and plant operations.
• Work closely with engineering, quality, supply chain, maintenance, HR, and other internal departments.
• Manage plant resources, capacity, staffing, and operational priorities in line with business requirements.
• Support budgeting, cost control, and overall plant financial performance.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators for production, quality, safety, delivery, and efficiency.
• Maintain strong communication with senior management, employees, customers, suppliers, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Support the implementation of new products, processes, equipment, and manufacturing technologies where required.
• Develop a positive working culture focused on safety, quality, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Skills and Qualifications

• Possess a degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Have several years of professional experience within manufacturing or industrial operations, ideally including plant or production management responsibilities.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and people-management skills, with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Have a good understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, quality management, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
• Experience working with operational KPIs, budgets, cost control, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or similar operational excellence methodologies is advantageous.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Demonstrate reliability, independence, and a hands-on approach to plant operations.
• Experience within automotive, battery, industrial, or high-volume manufacturing environments would be advantageous.
