P3 is seeking a Senior Consultant / Manager to support automotive clients in industrialization, product strategy, technology and transformation topics in Germany and across Europe.

This hands-on role combines strategic thinking with deep production and engineering knowledge, with 3–4 days on-site travel per week across Germany and neighboring countries.

Qualifikationen

Aufgaben

• Support international taskforces, transformation programs and strategic initiatives for leading automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.
• Analyze complex technical, operational and business challenges and independently develop actionable recommendations.
• Contribute to industrialization, production and product development process (PEP) topics.
• Support the development of product and technology roadmaps, portfolio strategies, modular architectures and platform concepts.
• Work on strategic topics related to production, industrialization, technology and cost optimization.
• Develop and structure workstreams, KPIs, analyses and management presentations within complex projects.
• Act as a hands-on strategic advisor, working closely with engineering, industrialization, production, supply chain and management teams.
• Support the preparation of Steering Committee and executive-level presentations, decision papers and recommendations.
• Translate complex technical topics into clear business implications and actionable next steps.
• Contribute to implementation roadmaps and support clients in moving from strategy to execution.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary and international teams across the client organization.
• Take ownership of assigned workstreams and deliverables while working with a high degree of autonomy.
• Identify opportunities for further P3 project work and, over time, take responsibility for selected workstreams or taskforce topics.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant / Manager to support our automotive clients in complex industrialization, product strategy, technology and transformation topics.

You will work closely with automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers, often as part of interdisciplinary taskforces or transformation programs. The role is hands-on and advisory, combining strategic thinking with a strong understanding of production, technology and industrialization.

You will not necessarily be responsible for leading the overall taskforce. Instead, you will contribute your expertise to specific workstreams, structure complex challenges, develop recommendations and support their implementation.

This role is particularly suited to someone who enjoys working at the interface between strategy, engineering, production and management and wants to be directly involved in solving complex automotive challenges.

What We're Looking For

Must-Have

• 5–8+ years of professional experience in automotive consulting, OEM or Tier-1 environment.
• Strong experience in automotive production, industrialization and/or product development processes.
• Solid understanding of automotive technology and production environments.
• Experience participating in taskforces, transformation programs, escalation projects or complex strategic initiatives.
• Ability to work hands-on with complex technical and business topics and develop structured recommendations.
• Experience working across interfaces such as engineering, production, industrialization, procurement, supply chain or management.
• Strong strategic and analytical skills, combined with an understanding of operational execution.
• Experience preparing and presenting information to senior management / executive stakeholders.
• Fluent German and English.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work approximately 3–4 days per week on-site in Germany.
• Relevant university degree.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in taskforce environments within automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
• Experience with portfolio strategy, technology roadmaps, modular architectures or platform concepts.
• Experience with cost optimization, business cases, technical due diligence or market analysis.
• Experience with automotive audits or VDA-related topics.
• Previous consulting experience.
