Job Summary

Turn everyday speech into clean, accurate written text in your language. This flexible, remote, task-based role requires a sharp ear and eye for detail. No prior experience needed beyond strong language skills.

Responsibilities

• Display Transcription: Listen to short speech recordings and type exactly what is said, following clear project guidelines. Apply writing conventions for numbers, dates, times, currency, percentages, measurements, phone and web addresses, and e‑mail addresses. Keep spelling, capitalization, punctuation, names, and accents correct for your locale. Mark required tags accurately and consistently.
• Disfluency Tagging: After a transcript is finalized, identify and tag four common types of speech slips: meaningless repetitions, empty filler words and sounds, unnecessary informal markers, and mid‑speech self‑corrections. Ensure no genuine connecting words are mistakenly tagged.
• Polishing and Formatting: Tidy up punctuation and capitalization so the text reads cleanly once the slips are removed, following project rules for tagging, merging, and boundaries.

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow written guidelines closely.
• Comfortable working independently on a computer with a reliable internet connection.
• Reliable and consistent, with a focus on accuracy over speed.
