Zusammenfassung

OHB SE in Germany seeks a highly skilled professional for mission analysis of Earth observation satellites in LEO and GEO. You will derive performance parameters, coordinate with subsystem designers, and support payload and operations engineering for an integrated mission concept.

Responsibilities include SW development for mission analysis and flight dynamics, the creation of attitude guidance profiles, and the derivation of mission requirements.

Qualifikationen

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
  • Deep knowledge of orbital dynamics and spaceflight problems.
  • Ability to apply theory to practical mission design challenges.
  • Experience with numerical orbit determination and control techniques.
  • FD engineer experience is a plus.
  • Strong MATLAB and Python skills; STK familiarity is beneficial.

  • Perform Mission Analysis for Earth observation satellites in LEO and GEO.
  • Derive mission and system performance parameters and constraints.
  • Serve as point of contact to subsystem payload and systems engineers.
  • Contribute to operational concepts for payload commanding and flight dynamics.
  • Develop, validate and document SW for mission analysis and flight dynamics.
  • Create attitude guidance profiles and nominal mission profiles.
  • Develop orbit control strategies and related SW.
  • Derive mission-related requirements.

  • Point of Contact to Payload designers and System Engineers (in particular, Operations preparation engineers) for the consolidation of an operational concept related to the payload commanding.
  • Provide Subsystem designers with the required Mission-related analyses andprofiles.
  • Conception, design, development and validation of SW packages for Mission Analysis and Flight Dynamics purposes.
  • Development of optimal / suboptimal Attitude Guidance profiles
  • Computation of nominal mission profiles.
  • Development of Orbit Control strategies and related SW
  • Derivation of Mission-related requirements.

Your Qualifications
  • Master’s or doctoral degree or equivalent in Engineering, Physics or Mathematics.
  • Deep and hands-onknowledge on Orbital Dynamics problems and methods.
  • Ability and experience to apply theoretical knowledge for the solution of technical problems in Space Flight Dynamics.
  • Experience in the use of numerical methods for Orbit Determination and Control.
  • Experience as FD engineer in operational context is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of satellite Attitude Kinematics and Dynamics.
  • Knowledge and experience in optimization theory is a plus.
  • Ability to work in cooperation with Systems and Subsystems Engineers in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent command in MATLAB and Python. C and System Tool Kit (STK) are a plus.
