Zusammenfassung

Ipsen is seeking an Interim Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) for Rare Diseases and Liver. The field-based maternity leave replacement will build relationships with national and regional medical KOLs, and deliver compliant scientific exchanges to support the company strategy.

You will develop deep scientific expertise, represent Ipsen at events, and collaborate with clinical development. Fluent German and English are required for success.

Qualifikationen

• Advanced scientific, healthcare or medical degree required.
• Medical/paramedical practice or research career preferred.
• Previous MSL experience for at least 2 years with proven track record.
• Experience delivering scientific presentations and engaging Thought Leaders.
• Knowledge in data analysis, statistics and regulatory guidelines.

Aufgaben

• Support cross-functional teams with medical affairs and internal customers.
• Support medical publications and training for speakers and reps.

Interim Opportunity | Medical Scientific Liaison – Rare Diseases / Liver (m/w/d)

Territory: Field-based maternity leave replacement role supporting 12 centers nationwide

Focus will be on

• Identify and develop relationships with national and regional medical and scientific KOLs consistent with the strategy and objectives of Medical Affairs and overall Ipsen strategies
• Engage in scientific exchange and education about current and emerging therapies in a compliant fashion with KOLs (to include advisory boards, individual meetings, and congresses)
• Develop and maintain scientific, clinical and therapeutic expertise in the areas of Rare Diseases
• Represent the company at specific continuing medical educational events, programs, medical meetings and scientific conventions
• Work with clinical development as requested to identify and engage with appropriate sites for Ipsen trials and identify disease concepts hat can be leveraged into product differentiation
• Differentiate Ipsen as the valued scientific partner of choice through innovative initiatives, coordinated strategy, and scientific communication
• Provide appropriate scientific, clinical, and educational support for internal cross functional customers (including other members of the MSL team)
• Support medical publications as needed (abstracts, manuscripts, etc.)
• Support commercial operations by participating in Speaker and Representative Training
• Lead/participate on special project teams as necessary
• Support cross-functional teams to ensure operations are patient-focused, including rapidly responding to internal and external requests to discuss specific situations and challenges and provide medical affairs support to all stakeholders

Qualification requires

• Advanced Scientific, healthcare or medical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) is required
• Medical/paramedical Practice or Research career (hospital and/or hospital related, university research, pharmaceutical industry research or medical affairs)
• Previous holding of an MSL or related role with at least 2 years’ experience. Proven experience and successful track record as an MSL or medical department professional in a previous company
• Experience in delivery of scientific presentations and development of relationships with national/international Thought Leaders
• Previous and recent experience in Rare Diseases / Liver is an advantage
• Demonstrated expertise in ability to synthesize and communicate medical information clearly
• Knowledge in data analysis and statistics as well as legal, regulatory, and compliance regulations and guidelines
• Teamplayer with solution-oriented approach and good communication skills
• Ability to travel ~ 60-80% (based on the size of respective geography)
• Business fluent in German and English
