Greene, Tweed is seeking a Regulatory Compliance professional to monitor global trends, evaluate regulatory impact on materials and products, and guide operations to maintain ongoing adherence.

You will develop and execute strategic roadmaps for material compliance, collaborate with legal teams, manage certifications, and ensure safe handling and reporting to authorities while enabling broader market opportunities.

Qualifikationen

Essential Duties/Responsibilities :
  • Monitors global compliance trends and new regulations to evaluate their impact on GT business operations.
  • Provides guidance to GT’s various business operations on how regulatory requirements on raw materials, products, & platforms affect our processes and businesses.
  • Develops and executes strategic roadmap for GT material compliance to maintain ongoing adherence, reduce business risk, and ensure safe handling and legal management of materials.
  • Develops and maintains an understanding of TSCA (EPA) & REACH (ECHA) and other global chemical/material compliance programs (UNEP, ROHS, California SCP, POP, etc)
  • Collaborates with internal and external legal teams and consultants to resolve compliance, certification and regulatory issues and provides management with progress reports.
  • Develops and maintains understanding of material/product certification requirements for NSF, USP, FDA, WRAS, and other similar regulatory agencies to enable increased market opportunities, and develop and maintain database of materials and appropriate industry certifications
  • Oversees the maintenance of all compliance manuals, records, processes, customer responses, and chemical substance inventories. Provides training to GT personnel to ensure alignment to the compliance manuals.
  • Conducts due diligence on new products from suppliers and new materials developed internally, submitting “new substance” and “new use” notifications, claims exemptions with various government regulatory agencies.
  • Maintains and improves system for submitting import certifications and export notifications, for prompt internal reporting and correction of violations. Retrieve chemical use data from Corporate ERP system and analyzing that data to prepare reports to regulatory authorities and customers. Tracks and reports production/import volumes and use information
  • Audits internal compliance management system (CMS), as well as business operations
  • Evaluates health & safety, allegations of significant adverse reactions, and substantial risks information for material substances.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certifications:

BS in a related technical degree required – Engineering, Chemistry or Material Science preferred.

Skills and Experience:
  • 6-10 years of related experience interpreting and implementing quality guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Working knowledge of quality management systems, manufacturing, regulatory compliance, and the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders to drive improvements required.
  • Understanding of chemicals and materials. In-depth knowledge of polymers preferred
  • In-depth working knowledge of safety and risk assessment principles of hazardous raw materials and finished products
  • Demonstrated skills in analyzing, reporting, and documenting information with attention to detail.
  • Detail-oriented but able to see the bigger picture including potential corporation / business liability & customer impact
  • Understanding of Chemistry and Chemical names and Chemical Abstract Service (CAS) numbers system.
  • Experience with Excel, Word, and data bases.
  • Ability to work in office environment or remotely as required.
  • Ability to complete tasks on a timely basis when responding to customer requests
  • Ability to work with both scientists, engineers, production associates and sales team members.
  • Comfortable with being in a production environment or an office area.
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to analyze problems and make strategic decisions towards the correct course of action.
