Zusammenfassung

BMW Group is offering a Master Thesis in Vehicle Ergonomics in Munich. You will contribute to developing a vision-based method for human pose estimation and test it in an actual vehicle as part of a small, dynamic research team.

The project emphasizes hands-on programming and collaboration with another doctoral student, aiming to advance vehicle design through improved ergonomics and postural analysis. Munich-based, 6 months, full-time arrangement.

Qualifikationen

  • Studies in computer science, robotics, electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Hands-on programming experiences with computer-vision-related projects.
  • Knowledge of 2D and 3D human pose estimation.
  • Familiarity with fiducial systems.
  • High degree of self-motivation and strong organizational skills.

Aufgaben

  • You will investigate research questions for industrial applications in collaboration with another doctor student.
  • You will support to develop a vision-based method for human pose estimation.
  • You will test and validate the method in a real vehicle.
  • You will support in refining the method based on the validation results.
