Infineon Technologies in Munich is seeking a motivated Master's student to develop a fully functional plugin for the KLayout semiconductor layout software, based on defined use-case requirements. You will contribute to AI-enabled layout design workflows and gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art EDA environments.

You will implement, test, and document software features, manage development activities through the project lifecycle, and present progress to stakeholders.

Qualifikationen

• Master's student in CS/SE/EE or related field
• Strong Python programming and software development experience

Your Profile

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

• Study Field: You are currently enrolled in a Master's program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• (Work) experience: You have a strong foundation in computer science and gained experience through complex Python programming projects as well as software development for web and/or desktop applications
• Skills: You possess strong programming and software engineering skills, ideally complemented by experience in plugin development
• Interests: You are interested in semiconductor technologies, CMOS processes, and Electronic Design Automation (EDA) environments
• Work Style: You stand out through your structured, proactive, hands-on working style and strong documentation capabilities
• Skills: Ideally, you have knowledge of KLayout, the SKILL programming language used in Cadence Virtuoso, and a basic understanding of EDA layout concepts
• Language Skills: You are fluent in English; German language skills are considered an advantage
