Keysight Technologies in Germany is seeking a qualified engineer to develop and maintain production processes for photonic measurement products. You will join the photonic team and help bring products from prototype to mature manufacturing stages.

Responsibilities include defining manufacturing processes, improving automation, and implementing production lines with internal and outsourcing partners. Strong knowledge in optics and QA, plus English and German language skills, are essential.

Qualifikationen

• S. or B.A. in electrical engineering (optical communications), physics or similar.
• Knowledge in optical measurement techniques.
• Classroom knowledge in photonics and quantum electronics, optical telecommunication science, and hardware concepts.
• Understanding of process automatization and software development.
• Understanding of designing, implementing, and operating optical test and measurement solutions.
• Interests in manufacturing line design, quality analysis and manufacturing process optimization.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-group interactions.
• Good in English and German (at least B2).

Responsibilities

Our team is responsible for the development and maintenance of production processes as well as the introduction of new products. You will be part of our photonic team, which is responsible for our high-performance photonic measurement products like tunable lasers and optical power meters. You will develop and maintain the manufacturing landscape, automate test processes, and bring our products from the prototype stage to maturity. Your assignment contains:

• Defining, designing, and implementing manufacturing processes focused on reliability and quality
• Developing a manufacturing strategy and defining and implementing the design goals for manufacturability, serviceability, and quality during and beyond the product development phase
• Maintaining and optimizing process workflows and improving automatization by developing tooling and software solutions
• Implementing production lines at Keysight as well as at our outsourcing partners
• Analyzing manufacturing processes and failure modes to ensure quality and reliability of the production line

Qualifications

• S. or B.A. in electrical engineering (optical communications), physics or similar
• Knowledge in optical measurement techniques
• Classroom knowledge in photonics and quantum electronics, optical telecommunication science, as well as hardware concepts
• Understanding of process automatization and software development
• Understanding of designing, implementing, and operating optical test and measurement solutions
• Interests in manufacturing line design, quality analysis and manufacturing process optimization
• Highly motivated to accomplish all the tasks required to meet product development schedules and world class manufacturing expectations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for successful inter-group and intra-group interactions
• Good in English and German (at least B2)
