Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a Ventures & Partnerships lead to identify new revenue opportunities beyond core delivery in Germany. You will structure partnerships, pilot new ventures, and interface with global initiatives, adapting them to local market realities and legal requirements.

You will assemble cross-functional teams, coordinate with Legal, Finance, Ops, and Marketing, and drive pilots toward permanent business units or discontinuation when needed.

About this role

Your job is to figure out how the company can generate new revenue outside of its established core delivery model in Germany. You explore new commercial opportunities, build strategic partnerships with external companies or startups, and pilot new initiatives to build real, profitable business lines.

Think of yourself like an entrepreneur backed by a corporate platform. You build and test new ventures from scratch, leveraging our massive network, brand, and resources. You also serve as the key interface for global ventures initiated at group level, adapting global concepts to fit German market conditions and legal realities.

We're looking for someone who can live our behaviours of lead, deliver, and care—bringing business acumen, external dealmaking skills, and project management to turn ideas into validated businesses.

These are some of the key components to the position:

• Hunt for new commercial opportunities : Explore business models and revenue streams beyond standard food delivery, assessing customer demand and economics.

• Structure external partnerships : Identify potential corporate partners or startups, negotiate commercial terms, and structure mutually beneficial deals.

• Run real-world venture pilots : Move past presentation decks to execute fast, practical market tests that validate whether customers will buy a new service.

• Act as the German interface for global ventures : Adapt global group initiatives to local market conditions, legal requirements, and operational setups.

• Assemble agile project teams : Mobilize temporary cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance, Ops, Marketing) to drive venture validation without line authority.

• Partner with Country Strategy : Ensure all new venture concepts and external partnerships directly align with broader corporate objectives.

• Step into their shoes : Manage external partner relationships with mutual respect to build long‑term, sustainable commercial models.

• Break down silos : Coordinate cross‑departmental inputs and resolve operational dependencies across participating functions.

• Own your results : Make clear data‑backed calls to transition successful pilots into permanent business units or stop non‑viable ideas early.

• Raise the bar on market intelligence : Track platform trends, emerging business models, and competitor movements to keep JET ahead of the curve.

What will you bring to the team?

• Venture building or business development background : Proven track record in corporate innovation, strategic partnerships, startup building, or strategy.

• External dealmaking & negotiation skills : Direct experience identifying, structuring, and closing commercial agreements with external partners.

• Commercial & financial acumen : Strong ability to evaluate unit economics, build financial models, and assess commercial feasibility.

• Cross-functional project leadership : Skilled at assembling and leading multidisciplinary project teams to deliver complex initiatives on time.

• Comfort with ambiguity : Ability to take open‑ended, complex market ideas and turn them into structured, executable project plans.

• Influencing without authority : Strong interpersonal skills to secure internal buy‑in and coordinate teams across different departments.

• Global/Local matrix navigation : Experience interfacing between global corporate teams and local market leadership setups.

• Fluent German and English language skills
