The incumbent will serve as a Management Analyst in the Special Operations Command Africa (SOCAF) Civilian Personnel Division advising the Directorate on Civilian Manpower and Human Resources (HR) management.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 which includes 1) analyzing manpower and strength data used for recruitment, retention, and succession planning; 2) developing personnel management and manpower programs to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization, 3) providing technical assistance on position management and classification recommendations, AND 4) advising employees on various human resources issues, such as automated timekeeping, leave, work schedules, workman's compensation, benefits, pay and entitlements.
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
