Picnic GmbH Germany operates a new Fulfilment Center in the Berlin/Brandenburg area (Falkensee). You will lead a team of Maintenance Technicians, owning the shift, setting priorities and coordinating maintenance in a high-automation intralogistics environment to keep operations running smoothly for about 10,000 orders daily.

You will drive safety, lean principles and continuous improvement while collaborating with Operations and external maintenance partners, with a starting salary of €70,000

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of experience in a technical or maintenance environment.
• 3+ years of leadership experience in a comparable role.
• Completed technical degree or higher level qualification (Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical).
• Hands-on mindset with understanding of Lean, 5S and CI on the shop floor.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.

As a Maintenance Supervisor (m/f/d), you will work in our new Fulfilment Center in the Berlin/Brandenburg area (Falkensee), working with highly automated intralogistics systems from leading brands such as Apollo, Qimarox and Regal Rexnord. You will take operational responsibility for maintenance during your shift and lead our team of Maintenance Technicians.

You set priorities, ensure safe and structured ways of working and act as the key link between Maintenance and Operations. When critical breakdowns occur, you take the lead and work with your team to get our systems back up and running quickly.

Your leadership skills, technical understanding and hands‑on mindset will help us keep our operation running smoothly and ensure that around 10,000 orders reach our customers on time every day.

What you’ll do

• Lead & develop your team: You lead the Maintenance Technicians during your shift, coach them on the job and support their development.
• Own the shift: You set priorities, coordinate maintenance activities and ensure high-quality work and equipment availability.
• Manage critical breakdowns: You coordinate your team during technical issues and work closely with Operations to minimize downtime.
• Drive safety & structure: You ensure that safety standards are followed and that maintenance work is carried out in a clean and structured environment.
• Drive continuous improvement: You identify improvement opportunities and implement Lean, 5S and Continuous Improvement initiatives together with your team.
• Collaborate across teams: You work closely with Operations, Maintenance Engineers and external maintenance partners.

What you bring

• You have a completed technical qualification with further training as a Technician or Master Craftsman, or a completed technical degree (Bachelor/Master), for example in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
• You have 10+ years of experience in a technical or maintenance environment, ideally within an automated, logistics or production environment
• You have at least 3 years of leadership experience, for example as a Team Lead, Lead Technician, Supervisor or in a comparable role
• You have a hands‑on mindset and understand both the technical and operational side of maintenance
• You have experience with Lean, 5S and Continuous Improvement and enjoy applying these principles on the shop floor
• You work in a structured way, take ownership and stay calm and focused during critical breakdowns
• You are fluent in both English (German is strong plus)
