Auterion is seeking a logistics professional to bridge hands-on warehouse operations with international export processing in a hybrid role based in Munich. You will securely store sensitive hardware, accurately pick items, and arrange worldwide shipping in compliance with customs and dangerous goods regulations.

Key responsibilities include inbound receipt, QA, ERP-based inventory management, packaging, and independent booking of air, courier, and road shipments.

Qualifikationen

• Completed commercial or vocational training in logistics (e.g., Fachkraft für Lagerlogistik, Kaufmann/-frau für Spedition und Logistikdienstleistung) or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of solid experience in operational warehouse logistics (goods receipt, picking, packaging) with import/export processing in Germany/EU.
• Good knowledge of German/EU customs law; experience handling dangerous goods (ADR/IATA) is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Inbound Logistics & Quality Control: receive deliveries, check for completeness and transit damage, and ensure proper storage.
• Warehouse Organization & Optimization: maintain and optimize the hardware warehouse layout for safety and efficiency.
• Inventory & System Maintenance: conduct regular stocktakes and accurate ERP movements.
• Picking & Packaging: assemble components for engineering and international shipping with compliant packaging (hazardous materials handling).
• Transport Organization: book and monitor national and international shipments by air, courier, or road.
• Customs Clearance & ATLAS: prepare customs docs, classify goods, issue origin certificates or Carnet ATA.
• Compliance & Export Control: ensure adherence to German/European trade laws and export controls.
• Cross-functional Interface: collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, freight forwarders, and authorities.
• Oversee daily supply chain operations to ensure timely PO, shipments, and inventory movements.
• Maintain contingency plans and sourcing strategies for critical components.

In this versatile hybrid role, you bridge the gap between hands-on warehouse logistics and precise international export processing. You are responsible for ensuring that highly sensitive hardware components are safely stored, accurately picked, and shipped worldwide in compliance with all customs and dangerous goods regulations.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Inbound Logistics & Quality Control: Physical receipt of all deliveries, checking for completeness and transit damage (especially sensitive electronics, prototypes, and batteries), and ensuring proper storage.
• Warehouse Organization & Optimization: Structuring, maintaining, and continuously optimizing our hardware warehouse layout to ensure quick access times and maximum safety.
• Inventory & System Maintenance: Conducting regular stocktakes (inventories) as well as ensuring the seamless and accurate booking of all material movements in the ERP system.
• Picking & Packaging: Professional assembly of components, modules, and systems for engineering and worldwide customer shipping – including transit-safe and compliant packaging (e.g., hazardous materials handling for lithium-ion batteries).
• Transport Organization: Independent booking, management, and monitoring of national and international shipments via air freight, courier services, or road transport.
• Customs Clearance & ATLAS: Creation of all necessary customs and export documents as well as handling customs procedures (e.g., via ATLAS). Classification of goods (customs/HS codes) and issuing certificates of origin or Carnet ATA for temporary exports.
• Compliance & Export Control: Ensuring compliance with German and European foreign trade laws as well as export control guidelines (e.g., dual-use goods, BAFA declarations, basic knowledge of EAR/ITAR).
• Cross-functional Interface: Close collaboration with internal departments (Engineering, Supply Chain, Production) as well as external partners (freight forwarders, customs authorities, and courier services).
• Oversee daily supply chain operations - ensuring purchase orders, shipments, and inventory movements are executed on time and in full
• Maintain contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies for critical components and high-risk supply categories

Qualifications and Skills

• Completed commercial or vocational training in logistics (e.g., Fachkraft für Lagerlogistik, Kaufmann/-frau für Spedition und Logistikdienstleistung) or an equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 3 years of solid experience in operational warehouse logistics (goods receipt, picking, packaging) combined with a proven track record in import and export processing within Germany/the EU.
• Good knowledge of German/EU customs law and experience with the ATLAS system. Professional experience in handling dangerous goods (especially lithium-ion batteries according to ADR/IATA regulations) is a strong plus.
• Experience with ERP systems, ideally NetSuite
• Solid Excel skills and quick understanding of digital tools
• Fluent in German and English (written and spoken). Auterion’s company language is English, while contact with local authorities and service providers is often in German.
• Team player with a structured and proactive working style and strong communication skills
• EU Citizenship required
