Zusammenfassung

Avnet is seeking a proactive Legal Counsel to support our organization with pragmatic, commercially focused advice and risk-aware decision making across the business. You’ll negotiate and manage commercial agreements, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure legal considerations are integrated into everyday transactions in a value-adding manner.

  • Fully qualified lawyer (German Volljurist) admitted to practice in Germany or another European jurisdiction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
  • Experience with legal technology, contract management systems, and AI-enabled legal tools is desired.
  • 2–5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in law firm and/or in-house.

Job Summary
  • We are looking for a Legal Counsel that will support the organization by delivering pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice and partnering closely with business stakeholders to facilitate transactions, manage risk, and address legal challenges. will focus on the negotiation and management of commercial agreements, providing practical solutions to complex business issues, and helping ensure that legal considerations are integrated into business decision-making in an efficient and value-adding manner. The position could be based at our locations in Bernburg, Krakow, Leipzig oder Poing (Munich).
Principal Responsibilities
  • Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice to business stakeholders on a broad range of day-to-day legal, contractual, regulatory, and compliance matters.
  • Partner with internal clients and management to identify legal risks, develop pragmatic solutions, and support informed business decision-making.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements and other legal documentation in support of business objectives/requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, and internal policies across the supported business areas.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and assist in the implementation of appropriate processes, policies, and best practices.
  • Assess legal, commercial, and operational risks and provide clear recommendations on risk mitigation strategies.
  • Apply sound judgment, critical thinking, and a structured problem-solving approach to complex legal and business challenges.
  • Deliver concise, practical, and business-oriented guidance that is easily understood by non-legal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve legal processes, contract management practices, and overall risk management frameworks.
  • Manage disputes and claims, engaging and supervising external counsel where appropriate while maintaining effective budget oversight.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships across functions and act as a trusted legal advisor to the business.

  • Demonstrates solid legal expertise and a strong understanding of commercial, contractual, and regulatory matters within an international business environment.
  • handles a broad range of legal matters, assesses risks, and develops practical, business-oriented solutions based on sound legal judgment.
  • Works with a high degree of autonomy while seeking guidance on particularly complex, novel, or high-risk matters.
  • Builds effective relationships across functions and collaborates closely with stakeholders at various levels of the organization to support business objectives.
  • Manages multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and delivers timely, high-quality support to internal clients.
  • Contributes to process improvements, knowledge sharing, and the development of practical legal and compliance solutions.
  • May lead smaller projects, support strategic initiatives, and coordinate the activities of external counsel where appropriate.
Work Experience
  • 2-5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), gained in a law firm and/or an in-house legal department.
Education And Qualifications
  • Fully qualified lawyer (German Volljurist), admitted to practice in Germany or another relevant European jurisdiction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
  • Additional language skills are considered an asset.
  • Experience with legal technology, contract management systems, and AI-enabled legal tools is desired.
