Distribusion Technologies GmbH, a Berlin-based leading ground transportation marketplace, seeks a Head of FinTech Solutions to own our Payments product. You will direct PSP strategy, scale infrastructure, and run payments operations across a global footprint, while partnering with Finance, Sales, Product and Tech.

You will lead a high-performing team, drive KPI-based decisions, and shape strategic direction in a fast-growing travel tech environment with flexible remote options.

Distribusion is rapidly expanding and seeking a Head of FinTech Solutions to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing and building out our Payments product. You will contribute to scaling our Financial Services offering to support our customers’ growth ambitions across our global footprint. You will play a key role in optimising our processes to enhance efficiency and generate financial returns.

What you will do:

As the leader of our Financial Services, you will own three core areas of responsibility:

PSP Strategy & New Integrations
You'll stay ahead of the payment landscape across our operating markets — spotting coverage gaps before they become blockers, evaluating the right payment methods for each market, selecting and negotiating with PSPs, and owning the full onboarding process from term sheet to go-live.

Core Payments Infrastructure
You'll ensure our payments capability is built to scale — architecting smart transaction routing, embedding fraud prevention, and building the analytics layer that gives the business full visibility into payment performance. API-first, resilient, and ready for growth.

Payments Operations
You'll lead the operational engine behind every transaction — launching newly integrated payment methods, driving acceptance rate improvements, managing disputes and chargebacks, overseeing partner payouts, and owning financial reconciliation end-to‑end.

Cross-functional Leadership
As a senior leader in the business, you'll keep stakeholders aligned and informed — delivering clear reporting to senior management on performance, initiatives, and strategic direction, while building strong partnerships with Finance, Sales, and teams across the organisation.

We are ideally seeking this role to be located in our HQ in Berlin, Germany.

Who you are:

• You have 5–7 years in payments, with direct experience managing international supplier payouts — including contract negotiations, cost reduction, and running RFI/RFP processes end-to-end.

• You have hands‑on expertise with PSPs, payment processors, and gateways, and a solid grasp of transaction flows across complex payment chains.

• You have built or scaled payments capabilities across multiple markets, with a deep understanding of how payment landscapes, methods, and regulations vary globally.

• You have led cross‑functional projects with Sales, Product & Tech, and Operations — aligning stakeholders, workflows, and data flows across teams.

• You are data‑driven: comfortable defining KPIs, working with BI tools like Looker, and turning payment analytics into strategic decisions.

• You are a strong communicator who can handle payment‑related inquiries across corporate clients, suppliers, and internal teams with clarity and confidence.

• You have experience managing and developing a team, setting clear priorities, and building a high‑performing function from the ground up.
