Humana is seeking a Lead Network Architect to design and develop IT infrastructure solutions aligned with the enterprise architecture direction. You will provide Level 3 design, engineering implementation and support for the Data Center Network Engineering team, including multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto) and complex VxLAN EVPN designs.

• Enterprise hands-on experience with Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto design, deployment and troubleshooting.
• Enterprise hands-on experience with VxLAN BGP EVPN multi-vendor technology and architect-level knowledge.
• Enterprise hands-on experience with BGP and architect-level knowledge.
• Enterprise hands-on experience with CLOS L3 Spine/Leaf topology and architect-level knowledge.
• Experience with NDFC/Nexus Dashboard, Arista Cloud Vision Portal, Palo Alto Panorama.
• Experience with observability tools: Gigamon, Live Action, Arista DMF, Viavi.
• Experience with QoS, Multi-tenancy, Internet ingress/egress design.
• Experience with AI/NVIDIA designs, deployment and operations.
• Experience with DC/Transport providers: Equinix Fabric, Bare Metal, Megaport VXCs, MVE, MCR, AT&T TAOS.
• Strong IaC concepts and hands-on with automation and CI/CD.

The Lead Network Architect designs and develops IT infrastructure architecture solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. The Lead Network Architect works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

The Lead, Network Architect Provides Level 3 design, engineering implementation & support for the Data Center Network Engineering team at Humana. Performs on-call and implementation duties on nights and weekends as required. Perform advanced Data Center Network design, implementation and troubleshooting (CLOS L3 Spine/Leaf, VxLAN BGP EVPN, MEC, MLAG, vPC)

Perform advanced Palo Alto design, implementation and troubleshooting

Perform advanced Cisco Nexus Route/Switch design, implementation and troubleshooting

Perform advanced Arista Route/Switch design, implementation and troubleshooting

Review Humana provided business requirements with Humana Network Architects & Engineering teams

Create High Level Design & diagrams based on provided business requirements

Create Low Level Design & traffic flow diagrams based on provided High Level Design diagrams

Create Low Level Design cabling matrix based on provided High Level Design diagrams

Verify all necessary equipment and WAN circuits are in stock or have already been ordered

If additional equipment or WAN circuits are needed, quote them and review w/project team, then work with Humana network leadership to get them ordered

Create implementation plan (build/deploy plan), verification, and backout to accomplish Low Level Design

Create implementation Change ticketing in Service NOW, and coordinate w/PM to communicate outage windows following Humana standards

Implement (perform build/deploy) - with appropriate change ticketing/coordination

Perform post implementation validation/verification and performance testing - document results and provide to Humana Participate in On-Call rotation

Perform after-hours solutions implementation;

Support other teams as needed, after-hours;

Requirements

• Enterprise hands-on experience w/Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto design, deployment and troubleshooting
• Enterprise hands-on experience w/VxLAN BGP EVPN multi-vendor technology as well as an Architect level knowledge set
• Enterprise hands-on experience w/BGP as well as an Architect level knowledge set
• Enterprise hands-on experience w/CLOS L3 Spine/Leaf topology as well as an Architect level knowledge set
• Enterprise hands-on experience w/the following management tools; Cisco NDFC/Nexus Dashboard, Arista Cloud Vision Portal, Palo Alto Panorama
• Enterprise hands-on experience w/the following observability tools; Gigamon, Live Action, Arista DMF, Viavi.
• Enterprise hands-on experience w/QOS
• Enterprise hands-on experience w/Multi-tenancy
• Enterprise hands-on experience w/Internet ingress/egress design
• Enterprise hands-on experience w/AI/NVIDIA designs, deployment and operations
• Enterprise hands-on experience w/the following DC/Transport providers; Equinix Fabric, Bare Metal, Megaport VXCs, MVE, MCR, AT&T TAOS.
• Strong understanding of IaC concepts and hands‑on experience with automation and CI/CD
• Master’s Degree in a Technical Field
• PMP or PMI certification

Work-At-Home Requirements

• WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
• A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
• Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
• A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Work at Home RequirementsTo ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$129,300 - $177,800 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
