Jobbeschreibung

Your Role

As a Lead Group Controller, you take a key role at the intersection of Group Accounting, Business Controlling / FP&A, and external stakeholder reporting. You own our Group Management Reporting under HGB & IFRS, deep-diving into P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow performance to explain variances against plan. You turn complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations that help leadership steer the business. In this role, you also drive data transparency, process and system improvements to scale with FINN's growth.

Your Mission
  • Own Management Reporting: Translate monthly and year-end closing accounts (HGB & IFRS) into an insightful Group Management Reporting for P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement, targeting internal leadership, board, shareholders, and banks. Provide clear commentary on business performance and financial variance analysis against the plan, while continuously developing the structure and content of the Management Reporting.
  • Analyze Performance & Business Drivers: Deep-dive into financial data to identify deviations to the plan, drivers for cost and revenue and cash flow performance, and underlying root causes. Partner directly with business owners to implement and track effective initiatives and countermeasures.
  • Enable Data-Driven Business Steering: Act as a sparring partner to leadership, translating financial insight into clear, actionable recommendations to improve business steering and decision making.
  • Process Improvements: Drive company-wide process improvements, for example strengthening and aligning the monthly provisions process, and system improvements, such as setting up analyses in Lucanet or enabling SAP based cost center reportings, to improve the accuracy and transparency of our monthly financials.
  • Build / Lead Group Controlling team: You are responsible to build a small high-performing team that takes a critical role in company wide financial steering and reporting.
Your Profile
Must have
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in Finance / Controlling - ideally within a fast-paced scale-up, tech company, or top-tier consulting firm or Big 4 environment.
  • Education: Strong university degree in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Mindset: Strong analytical acumen, high attention to detail, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to complex financial topics.
  • Financial & Accounting Expertise: Good working knowledge of IFRS and German GAAP (HGB)
  • Languages: Fluent in English; German skills are a strong advantage.
Nice to have
  • Practical experience working with financial tools such as LucaNet and SAP S/4HANA are a plus.
  • Hands-on experience managing complex group consolidation processes are a plus.
