Zusammenfassung

SQUER is seeking an AI-focused product delivery leader to own AI-enabled software architecture and drive customer-facing initiatives. You will design scalable data pipelines, apply LLMs, and guide engineers while representing SQUER externally. Collaboration with product managers and designers is essential to delivering measurable AI value.

Fluency in German and English is required, with experience in cloud-native AI services and modern frameworks. Hybrid work options available in Munich, Germany.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of hands-on and architectural software engineering experience.
• Proven independent experience applying AI services in production.
• Experience designing and deploying AI-driven features at production scale.
• Strong data processing, API and database knowledge (SQL/NoSQL).

• Fluency in German and English.

Join our Product Delivery Unit and lead how applied AI enhances modern digital products.

Your tasks

• AI-Powered Product Architecture: Design and own the architecture of AI-enhanced software products using modern cloud services and frameworks (e.g., Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, LangChain).
• Applied LLM & Expertise: Apply Large Language Models (LLMs), cognitive services, and related technologies to solve complex, high-impact customer problems independently.
• Customer Consulting: Lead workshops and technical discussions with product managers, designers, and customer stakeholders, representing SQUER with confidence and identifying where AI adds measurable value.
• Scalable Systems Design: Architect scalable data pipelines and APIs that power intelligent features in production-grade environments, taking full technical ownership.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Guide and develop engineers within your team, shape our applied AI engineering practices, and ensure project and team success.
• Thought Leadership: Represent SQUER's applied AI expertise externally — through client relationships, internal knowledge-sharing, or community engagement.

Your qualifications

• Extensive Software Engineering Experience: Several years of hands‑on and architectural experience in software engineering (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JS/TS, or similar).
• Applied AI Depth: Proven, independent experience applying AI services in production (e.g., LLMs, NLP APIs, cognitive services), not just experimenting.
• Cloud Platform Ownership: Confident designing and deploying AI‑driven features on AWS, GCP, or Azure at production scale.
• Data & API Architecture: Strong understanding of data processing, APIs, and databases (SQL & NoSQL), with the ability to make architectural decisions independently.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Ability to guide, coach, and develop other engineers, and to take responsibility for a team's delivery and satisfaction.
• Customer-Facing Confidence: Comfortable representing SQUER independently to customers with a high degree of professionalism.
• Languages: Fluency in German and English.

We believe in transparent and fair compensation. For this role, the annual gross salary ranges between € 81.000 and € 103.000 – the exact placement depends on the seniority level we assess together during the process.
