Zusammenfassung

Amazon is seeking a Kernel/Hypervisor Engineer for the EC2 Live Migration team in Dresden. You will design and develop low‑level software (primarily in C) for live migration, ensuring reliability and scalability across large distributed systems.

You will collaborate across teams, participate in code reviews, and be part of an on‑call rotation. The role blends near‑hardware concepts with cloud-scale software, offering opportunities to influence EC2 resilience and customer experience.

Qualifikationen

  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
  • Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Experience in computer architecture.
  • Strong programming skills in C.
  • Experience developing code for the Linux Kernel and/or hypervisors (e.g., device drivers, working with ISR).

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.

Preferred Qualifications
