Zusammenfassung

Rail Innovators Group in Duisburg sucht einen Junior Safety Manager, der das Safety Management System (SMS) weiterentwickelt und die operativen Vorschriften mitgestaltet. Sie arbeiten eng mit der Safety Management Mannschaft und dem QSHE-Managern zusammen.

Zu Ihren Aufgaben gehören Audits, Risikoanalysen und die Sicherstellung der Qualifikationen des Betriebspersonals. Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse sind erforderlich; Reisebereitschaft wird erwartet.

Qualifikationen

• Ausbildung als Local Operations Manager (ÖBL) oder vergleichbare Qualifikation im Bahnbetrieb.
• Qualifikation als Triebfahrzeugführer gemäß TfV mit gültiger Fahrerlaubnis.
• Mehrjährige praktische Erfahrung im Bahnbetrieb und gute Kenntnisse relevanter Vorschriften.
• Erfahrung mit Safety Management Systemen (SMS) sowie Risiko- und Vorfallmanagement.
• Idealerweise Erfahrung mit Audits, operativer Überwachung und sicherheitsrelevanter Dokumentation.
• Gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse sowie Bereitschaft zu gelegentlicher Geschäftsreise.
• Strukturierte, verantwortungsbewusste, sicherheitsorientierte Arbeitsweise.
• Gute Kommunikations- und Teamfähigkeit sowie Interesse an persönlicher Entwicklung im Sicherheitsmanagement.
• Kommunikative und kooperative Persönlichkeit, die gerne mit verschiedenen Abteilungen zusammenarbeitet.
• Proaktive Haltung und Interesse an Weiterentwicklung im Sicherheitsmanagement.

Aufgaben

• Unterstützung des SMV und des QSHE-Manager bei sicherem und regelkonformem Bahnverkehr.
• Implementierung, Überwachung und Weiterentwicklung des Safety Management System (SMS).
• Erstellung und Pflege von operativen Regelungen, Verfahren und SMS-Dokumentation.
• Planung und Durchführung von Audits, Inspektionen und operativer Überwachung.
• Untersuchung und Analyse von Ursachen sicherheitsrelevanter Vorfälle und Ableitung von Präventionsmaßnahmen.
• Unterstützung beim Risikomanagement und der Beurteilung von Gefährdungen.
• Sicherstellung der Qualifikation, Kompetenz und Autorisierung des Betriebspersonals und Koordination weiterer Schulungen.
• Mitwirkung an Managementreviews, Festlegung von Sicherheitszielen und Verbesserung der Sicherheit.
• Zusammenarbeit mit internen Abteilungen, Behörden, Partnern und externen Organisationen.

As Junior Safety Manager, you will support our Safety Management Team and the QSHE Manager in ensuring safe and compliant railway operations. In doing so, you will draw on your practical experience in railway operations and play an active role in our Safety Management System (SMS), operational monitoring and the further development of our safety and QSHE processes.

Your responsibilities will include

• Supporting the SMV and the QSHE Manager in ensuring safe and compliant railway operations

• Implementing, monitoring and further developing the Safety Management System (SMS)

• Drawing up and maintaining operational regulations, procedures and SMS documentation

• Planning and carrying out audits, inspections and operational monitoring

• Investigating and analysing the causes of safety-related incidents and deriving preventive measures

• Support with risk management and the assessment of hazards

• Ensuring the qualifications, competence and authorisation of operational staff, and coordinating further training

• Participation in management reviews, setting safety objectives and improving safety performance

• Collaboration with internal departments, public authorities, partners and external organisations

What you should bring to this role

• Training as a Local Operations Manager (ÖBL) or a comparable qualification in railway operations

• Qualification as a train driver in accordance with the TfV, with a valid driving licence

• Several years’ practical experience in railway operations and a good knowledge of relevant regulations

• Experience with safety management systems (SMS) as well as in risk and incident management

• Ideally, experience with audits, operational monitoring and safety-related documentation

• Good command of German and English, and a willingness to undertake occasional business travel

• A structured, responsible and safety-oriented approach to work

• Good communication and teamwork skills, as well as an interest in professional development within safety management

• A communicative and cooperative personality who enjoys working with different departments and contacts

• A proactive attitude and an interest in further developing your expertise in safety management
