DUDE CHEM is seeking a (Junior) Finance Manager to join a small, high‑impact finance team in Berlin. You will work closely with the VP Finance, handling day‑to‑day accounting, month‑end and year‑end close, reporting, forecasting, and driving automation of finance processes.
You will build a deep understanding of the financial steering of Europe’s leading digital wealth manager and contribute to management, investors and board communications. English fluency is required; German is a plus.
Numbers are not an end in themselves for you – they are the basis for good decisions? You would rather not be a small cog in a large finance department, but take on real responsibility and get deep insight into how a fintech runs? Then you are in the right place.
As a (Junior) Finance Manager (m/f/d), you will work in a small, high-impact finance team, side by side with the VP Finance – taking on responsibility from day one. From day-to-day accounting through month- and year-end close to reporting, forecasts and the automation of our processes, you cover the full breadth – and see first‑hand how your work lands with management, investors and the board. In doing so, you build a deep understanding of the financial steering of one of Europe's leading digital wealth managers – and actively help shape it.
Month‑end close: You independently take on recurring reporting and closing tasks and make sure our month‑end close is done – on time and reliably.
Year‑end close: You support the preparation of the HGB annual financial statements and work alongside our accountants and auditors during the audit.
Reporting: You create KPIs and financial metrics for management presentations and contribute to investor and board materials.
Analysis: You build financial models, forecasts and variance analyses, turning numbers into solid insights.
Process automation: You digitalise and automate our finance processes – among other things using AI applications – and find the tools that make us faster tomorrow.
Experience & qualifications: You have completed a commercial apprenticeship (kaufmännische Ausbildung) and/or a degree. First hands‑on experience in accounting/controlling, consulting, investment banking or venture capital is a plus.
Analytical skills: Numbers are your home turf: you think analytically, work confidently in Excel and quickly find your way around tools like NetSuite, Abacum, Moss or PowerPoint. Experience with automation and AI tools is a plus – you'll learn a lot of it on the job with us.
Mindset: You bring a proactive, diligent and detail‑oriented way of working and thrive in a dynamic, fast‑growing startup environment. You're ambitious, enjoy taking ownership and see things through independently.
Language: You speak fluent English (at least C1) and feel at home in an international working environment. Knowledge of German is a plus.
