Zusammenfassung

Sandbox Interactive GmbH in Berlin seeks a DevOps / Platform Engineer to help scale and maintain our cross-platform game infrastructure. You will work on IaC with Terraform/Ansible, Kubernetes provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and on-call support, collaborating across teams.

The role emphasizes automation, ownership, and strong English communication, with a path to grow in a vibrant game studio. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years in a DevOps / Platform Engineering role or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals and Linux systems admin.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Experience operating IaC and automation-first tooling (Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD).
• Ability to troubleshoot end-to-end across infrastructure, platform and apps.
• Preference for automation over click-ops and UI changes; strong ownership.

Your Game

Support Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible) and cloud/Kubernetes provisioning

Help maintain CI/CD pipelines and shared platform components

Assist with monitoring, logging, dashboards, and alerts

Support teams in integrating services into CI/CD, Kubernetes, and observability tools

Participate in on-call rotations and assist with troubleshooting

Contribute to documentation and automation of recurring tasks

Your Talent

Minimum Qualifications:

2+ years experience in a DevOps / Platform Engineering role (or equivalent)

Prior working knowledge of networking fundamentals, Linux systems administration, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Experience operating IaC and automation-first tooling (Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD systems)

Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues end-to-end across infrastructure, platform, and application layers

Strong aversion to manual configuration (click-ops) and UI-driven changes; preference for version-controlled, repeatable automation

Highly self-driven with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership

Excellent communication and collaboration skills; fluent in written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Elasticsearch / ELK Stack / ECK

Experience with Jenkins

Experience with GitLab

Experience with Puppet

Experience with Proxmox

Experience with Datadog

Scripting proficiency in Bash and/or Python

Familiarity with Windows administration and PowerShell scripting

Competence in the German language
