Zusammenfassung

Analytica is seeking a Junior Data Scientist to support a defense health program, delivering data-driven analytics, AI/ML solutions, ETL, NLP, dashboards, and documentation under a Secret clearance.

You will work with military health data, perform ETL and EDA, build ML models, deploy NLP solutions, and create real-time dashboards using Python, Power BI or Tableau, while collaborating with stakeholders and maintaining version control.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, data analytics, statistics, computer science, health policy, or public health.
• Ability to maintain a Secret security clearance.
• 1-3 years of experience with Python and/or SQL for programming, ETL, and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of statistical programming concepts and best practices.
• Experience developing ML solutions including training/testing, validation, and evaluation criteria.
• Experience delivering analytic dashboard products using Tableau and/or Power BI.

• Develop PowerPoint summaries and technical briefs to support algorithm approval and stakeholder communication.
• Maintain versioned documentation for compliance and reproducibility.
• Investigate, report, and justify algorithm results in the context of business challenges.

The role focuses on building and deploying data-driven analytics and AI/ML solutions for military healthcare analytics tasks, including ETL, predictive modeling, NLP, dashboard development, and documentation support, under a Secret clearance requirement.

Responsibilities

• Apply experience working with military or veteran healthcare systems (for example, DHA, VA), including an understanding of healthcare data, regulatory compliance, and mission-driven care delivery.
• Perform ETL and exploratory data analysis (EDA) alongside data wrangling to develop and present innovative machine learning algorithms.
• Use machine learning and time series methods for predictive analytics to support faster and more accurate healthcare outcomes.
• Design, develop, and deploy NLP and AI/ML models with unit testing, performance validation, and post-deployment monitoring to support reliability and scalability.
• Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using Python and Power BI and/or Tableau for real-time healthcare analytics and decision-making.
• Partner with clinical and operational stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into data-driven visual solutions.
• Maintain work products using version control systems such as Git, Gitlab, and related tooling.
• Carry out quality control procedures to ensure high reliability, data integrity, and optimized performance of ML algorithms and dashboard solutions.
• Produce documentation covering business requirements, technical specifications, and user training materials tailored to AI/ML and dashboard solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, data analytics, statistics, computer science, health policy, or public health.
• Ability to maintain a Secret security clearance.
• 1-3 years of experience with Python and/or SQL for programming, ETL, and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of statistical programming concepts and best practices.
• Experience developing machine learning solutions, including work with training/testing sets, validation sets, target definition, and algorithm evaluation criteria.
• Experience delivering analytic dashboard products using Tableau and/or Power BI is required.
• Demonstrated SQL development, including writing queries, procedures, and performing query optimization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical concepts to a range of audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks within time constraints and meet critical deadlines.

Role Location / Work Arrangement

The role may be Hybrid, either in San Antonio, TX or Falls Church, VA, or potentially remote with periodic travel for meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Skills in JavaScript for accessing APIs and developing front-ends.
• Experience with Databricks is a plus.
• Familiarity with large language models (LLMs), chatbots, and recommendation systems to improve decision-making.
