BASF in Berlin is seeking a detail-oriented finance professional to contribute to product costing, inventory valuation and SAP processes within the Global Business Services unit.

You will work with finance, controlling and operational teams across locations, supporting month-end close and driving cost analysis improvements for manufacturing environments.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• First experience in accounting, cost accounting, inventory accounting, manufacturing finance or controlling, gained through internships, working student positions or initial professional roles.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, financial closing processes, cost accounting and inventory valuation, with a strong interest in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with SAP ERP, SAP CO, Product Costing, Material Ledger or SAP S/4HANA is an advantage.
• Fluent German communication skills; additional European languages are a plus.
• Strong team spirit, structured and analytical way of working, and a strong attention to detail.

Aufgaben

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including Product Costing, Inventory Valuation and financial reporting processes.
• Analyze, validate and monitor standard and actual product costs in SAP, including execution of product costing runs.
• Investigate cost deviations, perform root cause analyses and collaborate with manufacturing, accounting and controlling teams to ensure accurate product cost calculations.
• Review, maintain and validate costing-relevant master data to ensure high data quality and accurate inventory valuation.
• Provide operational support for Product Costing processes and contribute to process improvements, harmonization initiatives and automation projects.
• Participate in projects to implement SAP S/4HANA.

In this role, you develop expertise in Product Costing, Inventory Valuation and SAP processes while working closely with finance, controlling and operational teams across multiple locations, including Europe's largest integrated site in Ludwigshafen.
