Parloa is seeking a Junior Accounts Payable Accountant in Berlin to manage end-to-end Procure-to-Pay for our German and US entities, ensuring vendors are paid accurately and on time.

You will own AP processes from invoice receipt to reconciliation, expand VAT knowledge, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-growing product- and AI-focused company.

This is an opportunity to grow hands-on in a multi-entity environment, with compliance and data protection at the core.

About the role:

As Junior Accounts Payable Accountant, you will keep our vendors paid correctly and on time across our German and US entities, building a solid foundation in end-to-end Procure-to-Pay along the way. This is your opportunity to own AP for a fast-growing, multi-entity company and build real expertise in German VAT, invoice compliance, and vendor operations from day one.

Location: Berlin, Germany

Areas of ownership:

• Invoice Processing and Compliance: Review incoming vendor invoices, code them, and match them to purchase orders. Chase pending approvals, request corrected invoices from vendors when needed, and answer vendor payment questions.
• Travel and Expenses: Review employee expense reports, travel bookings, and corporate card transactions. Follow up on missing receipts and handle employee questions on expenses.
• Vendor Master Data: Support vendor onboarding and handle setup and changes of vendor bank details.
• Payments and Reconciliation: Prepare payment runs and reconcile vendor and AP accounts.
• Month End Closing: Review subledger and aging and provide accrual information.

Who you are:

• Hands-on Accounts Payable experience, where you've processed and coded incoming invoices yourself
• A German apprenticeship such as Steuerfachangestellte/r, or a business administration degree with a finance or accounting focus
• Fluent (C1+) in German and English, comfortable reviewing German invoices and handling vendor correspondence in German
• Working understanding of German VAT on incoming invoices
• Careful with detail at volume: you handle a high transaction count without losing your eye for detail and notice when something doesn't add up

Nice to have:

• Experience with NetSuite, Airbase, or a comparable P2P system.
• Exposure to a multi-entity environment.
• Experience with purchase order matching and vendor master data cleanup.
