Zusammenfassung

Magazino – a Jungheinrich company seeks a Linux Systems Engineer to manage and advance our Linux backbone, with ownership of security topics including endpoint hardening, vulnerability management, IDS and SIEM. You will contribute to IT process automation and work in a cross-functional team using Kanban and Scrum.

You bring several years of Linux administration and security experience, strong networking knowledge and a bias toward automation. Fluent English is required; German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of experience administering Linux systems.
• Solid background in operational information security.
• Experience with 2nd and 3rd level support and tackling a wide range of technical challenges.
• Strong understanding of computer networks and common protocols (DNS, DHCP, IP, NTP, SSH).
• Hands-on experience developing and implementing IT processes.
• Skills in automation and configuration management (e.g., IaC).
• Work independently and in a structured way with high-quality standards.
• Fluent in English.

Your tasks

• You manage and further develop our Linux systems, which form the backbone of our infrastructure
• You take ownership of various operational information security topics, including endpoint hardening, vulnerability management, IDS, SIEM, and more
• You support our team across different levels of tasks, covering the full breadth of IT challenges
• You contribute to the development and optimization of IT processes to support our growing user base
• You drive automation and configuration management (IaC) to increase efficiency and reliability within our environment
• You work closely with cross-functional teams using modern Agile methods such as Kanban and Scrum

Requirements

• You bring several years of experience administering and working with Linux systems
• You have a solid background in operational information security
• You have experience with 2nd and 3rd level support and enjoy tackling a wide range of technical challenges
• You have a strong understanding of computer networks and common protocols (DNS, DHCP, IP, NTP, SSH, etc.)
• You have hands-on experience developing and implementing IT processes
• You bring skills in automation and configuration management (e.g., IaC)
• You work independently and in a structured way, maintaining high-quality standards
• You are fluent in English
