I am hiring an ISMS Consultant on behalf of a German consulting firm specialising in information security, cybersecurity, and digital‑transformation risk management. For over two decades, the organisation has supported companies across multiple industries – including critical‑infrastructure sectors – by helping them design and implement security strategies, governance frameworks, and resilience programmes. Their consulting approach takes a holistic view of organisations, considering processes, technology, culture, and people to develop tailored solutions that strengthen cyber resilience and support secure digital transformation.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) according to standards such as ISO 27001 or other regulatory frameworks.
• Advising clients on building and operating Business Continuity Management (BCM) systems.
• Conducting risk analyses and Business Impact Analyses (BIA) to identify vulnerabilities and improve resilience.
• Supporting and preparing internal and external audits related to security standards and compliance.
• Working directly with client teams to integrate security processes into everyday operations.
• Participating in multi‐project consulting environments, managing several client engagements simultaneously.

This role can be remote in Baden-Württemberg with travel to client site within the area.

Essential:

• Relevant degree e.g., Information Security, IT, Computer Science etc.
• 2 to 3 years experience working in Information Security, especially in implementing ISMS frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of security standards such as ISO 27001 or TISAX.
• Analytical thinking and structured working style, with the ability to manage complex projects.
• Relevant certifications e.g. ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, CISA, CISM etc.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain security issues clearly to technical teams and stakeholders in both German and English – minimum C1 level German
