Zusammenfassung

Stryker’s R&D Simulation team invites a Biomedical/Mechanical Engineering Master’s student for a six-month internship in Schönkirchen, near Kiel. You will run FEA and musculoskeletal simulations, review literature for loading conditions, and help validate implant concepts within a global MedTech context.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with Ansys/Abaqus/AnyBody and CAD tools like Creo or SolidWorks, while collaborating with engineers and contributing to project reports and documentation.

Qualifikationen

  • Pursuing a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of FEA or musculoskeletal modelling.
  • Experience with simulation software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or AnyBody.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools like Creo or SolidWorks.
  • Good English language skills (minimum B2); German is a plus.

Your Mission

Join Stryker’s R&D Simulation team and help shape the future of orthopaedic medical technology. During this Medical Engineering Internship, you will apply numerical simulation methods to support the development of innovative implants and contribute to projects that have a direct impact on patient care. You will gain hands-on experience with modern engineering technologies, work alongside experienced experts, and develop valuable skills in simulation, biomechanical analysis, and product development. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Engineering, or Biomechanics to build practical experience in a global MedTech environment.

What You'll Do
  • Support numerical simulations using Finite Element Analysis (FEA), musculoskeletal modelling, and CAD tools
  • Define physiological loading conditions and failure scenarios through scientific literature reviews and research activities
  • Evaluate implant design concepts and support validation activities for medical devices

What You'll Bring
  • Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Engineering, Biomechanics, Materials Engineering, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and/or musculoskeletal modelling
  • Initial experience with Ansys, Abaqus, AnyBody, or comparable simulation software
  • Familiarity with CAD tools such as Creo or SolidWorks
  • Good English language skills (minimum B2), German language skills (B2) are beneficial
