Zusammenfassung

Hapag-Lloyd is seeking an intern to join our Sustainability Team in Hamburg, contributing to Strategy 2030 and net-zero ambitions. You will analyze data, prepare reports, and explore AI, data and automation to advance green shipping.

You will collaborate with colleagues, engage stakeholders, and help communicate sustainability efforts while gaining exposure to real-world projects, training programs, and a supportive student community.

Qualifikationen

• Enrolled in a full-time program in Business, Environmental Science, Sustainability Management.
• Passion for sustainability and climate action.
• Strong organizational skills with basic project management experience.
• Excellent English communication.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work in a team.
• Prior sustainability, strategy, or consulting experience is a plus.
• Able to take initiative and adapt to a dynamic environment.

As an intern, you will be part of our dynamic Sustainability Team, working on projects that shape the future of green shipping. Your role will be crucial in supporting our Strategy 2030, which aims to align with the 1.5°C climate pathway and achieve net-zero fleet operations by 2045.

What You`ll Do

• Perform data analyses and create regular reports to track and communicate progress
• Act as a sustainability innovation radar, especially in AI, data and automation fields
• Collaborate with the team to drive initiatives forward and ensure project success
• Engage with stakeholders and contribute to effective communication of sustainability efforts
• Stay updated on the latest green innovations and share insights with the team and assist in identifying and evaluating potential partnerships for sustainability projects
• Support the team in developing and implementing internal sustainability training programs.

What Makes You A Fit

• Currently enrolled in a full-time program in Business, Environmental Science, Sustainability Management etc.
• Passion for sustainability and climate action, with a desire to make a difference
• Strong organizational skills and basic project management experience, as well as proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly
• Collaborative mindset and a willingness to work in a team-oriented environment
• Prior experience in sustainability, project management, strategy, or consulting is a plus
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Open-minded and adaptable to a dynamic work environment, as well as eagerness to learn and contribute to a sustainable future
