HyImpulse is seeking a senior professional to lead institutional business development from our Neuenstadt location. You will secure partnerships with agencies, governments, and research institutions and shape our European and global growth in the space sector.

The role requires a Master’s degree plus 3+ years in BD or related fields, with fluency in English and German. Expect engagement at industry events, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration across teams.

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in business development or institutional relations, preferably in aerospace or high-tech.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English and German; German is obligatory.

Aufgaben

• Drive institutional business development to expand HyImpulse’s market presence and secure partnerships with agencies, governmental bodies, and research institutions
• Identify, analyse, and develop opportunities for new projects, programs, funding instruments, and long-term contracts within the European and global space sector
• Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with institutional stakeholders, including space agencies (ESA, DLR, UKSA), government ministries, regulatory bodies, and strategic partners
• Develop and implement strategic business plans aligned with company objectives and technology roadmaps
• Represent HyImpulse at industry events, trade fairs, working groups, and conferences, effectively communicating the company’s value proposition and hybrid rocket technology
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business goals with technical capabilities
• Monitor market trends, policy developments, funding opportunities, and competitor activities to proactively inform business strategy and proposal development
• Support proposal writing and submission, and institutional grant applications

Basic Qualification

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, International Relations, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in business development, institutional relations, government affairs, or project acquisition, preferably within the aerospace, defence, or high-tech sectors
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders
• Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset
• Experience in the aerospace or NewSpace sector, including understanding of institutional customers (ESA, EU, national agencies and government institutions), is a strong plus
• Fluency in English and German both oral and written. German is obligatory
