Zusammenfassung

APL Logistics is seeking an Import Operations Coordinator to join our Operations Team in Hamburg. The role focuses on managing Destination Control Tower activities and maintaining strong relationships with end customers entrusted with their supply chain management.

You will coordinate shipments, manage customs processes, and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining operational excellence in a global logistics network.

Qualifikationen

• 3-5 years’ working experience in freight forwarding, transportation, logistics, or foreign trade.
• Familiar with EU customs processes (high-level).
• Excellent communication and diplomatic skills.
• Customer service oriented mindset.

Aufgaben

• Manage Destination Control Tower activities.
• Release containers from carrier or receiving agent, including return of empties.
• Coordinate and arrange delivery dates with customer DC and partners.
• Arrange national and international last mile transport with hauliers and T1 creation.
• Arrange customs clearance with brokers.
• Coordinate and arrange physical inspections with local authorities.
• Monitor and control all containers and event data tracking.

Right now, we’re looking for a new colleague to join our Operations Team in the position of Import Operations Coordinator.

This position plays a critical role in managing of “Destination Control Tower” activities, building and maintaining good operational relationships with end customers who entrust us with their supply chain management.

Main Responsibilities

• Management of “Destination Control Tower” activities
• Release of containers from the carrier or receiving agent including return of empty containers
• Coordination and arrangement of delivery dates with the customer DC and its partners
• Arrangement of national and international last mile transportation with hauliers including T1 creation
• Arrangement of customs clearance with brokers
• Coordination and arrangement of physical inspections with local authorities
• Monitoring and control of all containers including event data tracking

What we are looking for

• 3-5 years’ working experience preferably in freight forwarding, transportation, logistics, foreign trade
• Familiar with customs processes in the EU (high-level)
• Good communication and diplomatic skills
• Customer service mentality
• German language (native and/or C-level), good (or even) very good English skills
• Nice to have - experience with operational systems, freight management systems, Dakosy/dbh, IMP platform, German Ports, etc.

The typical salary range for this position is: € 35.915 -€ 50.000
