Zusammenfassung

DöhlerGroup in Darmstadt seeks a Head of IT Infrastructure & Cloud Services to lead our hybrid infrastructure, ensuring stable, secure operations across data centers, Azure and core services. You will shape automation, disaster recovery and a scalable operating model, while overseeing a team and external partners.

Fluency in German and English is required along with a degree in informatics or related field; strong governance and FinOps experience is essential for success in this role.

• Several years in a leadership role in IT infrastructure / platform operations.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud with governance/FinOps.
• Proven backup/restore, disaster recovery and high availability experience.
• Hands-on ITSM (incident/problem/change), ITIL-aligned, with monitoring and automation.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management.
• Fluent in German and English; degree in informatics or equivalent.

• You manage compute, storage and virtualization platforms, including capacity planning as well as lifecycle and standardization initiatives.
• You ensure effective backup, disaster recovery and high-availability capabilities, including regular testing and continuous improvement.
• You establish and continuously enhance an efficient operations model covering monitoring as well as incident, problem and change management.
• You plan and coordinate patching and maintenance activities and reduce operational and security risks in close collaboration with IT Security and IT Architecture.
• You drive automation and self-service capabilities to improve quality, speed and transparency.
• You lead and develop your team as well as external partners, and manage budget, priorities and stakeholder alignment.

As Head of IT Infrastructure & Cloud Services(m/w/d) at the Darmstadt site, you are responsible for the reliable, secure, and scalable operation of our enterprise infrastructure. Your Profile

• Several years of experience in a leadership role in IT infrastructure / platform operations (data center, virtualization, storage/compute), ideally including cloud operations.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud operating models, with a solid understanding of governance and FinOps.
• Proven track record in backup/restore, disaster recovery and high availability, as well as infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience with ITSM processes (incident/problem/change), ideally aligned with ITIL, and with monitoring and automation practices.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in German and English; degree in (business) informatics or a comparable qualification.
