Ground Investigation (Package) Manager (all genders)
Your future tasks:
- Lead the geophysical and geotechnical ground investigation package and provide functional leadership within a matrix organisation.
- Define and document the requirements for geophysical and geotechnical investigations as well as UXO identification and clearance campaigns.
- Manage all package-related matters, including scope, budget, resources, schedule, risks, opportunities, quality, HSE and interfaces.
- Develop technical specifications, tender documentation and contracting strategies for ground investigation campaigns.
- Manage contracts and coordinate contractors and consultants involved in offshore fieldwork, data processing and interpretation.
- Monitor campaign progress, HSE performance and data quality, taking appropriate action where required.
- Review factual and interpretative contractor reports and ensure that all deliverables meet project, industry and certification requirements.
- Coordinate interfaces with engineering, permitting, certification and environmental impact assessment activities.
- Ensure the structured handover of geoscientific data and documentation to the relevant engineering teams.
- Act as the central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on all ground investigation matters.
- Travel regularly to relevant project and contractor locations within Europe as required.
Your profile:
- A degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Earth Sciences or a comparable discipline.
- Several years of relevant professional experience in offshore wind ground investigations, UXO identification and clearance campaigns, or a comparable technical offshore environment such as oil and gas.
- Sound technical knowledge of offshore geophysical and geotechnical survey technologies and methods.
- Practical understanding of operational offshore activities and associated HSE requirements.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, risk and quality across a complex work package.
- Commercial awareness and experience in contract, contractor and consultant management.
- Good knowledge of relevant industry best practices, standards and certification requirements.
- Familiarity with geoscientific data processing and interpretation or laboratory testing of soil samples would be an advantage.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, combined with the ability to lead and coordinate interdisciplinary teams without direct disciplinary responsibility.
- A pragmatic, flexible and safety-conscious approach and the ability to perform effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Fluent English skills and willingness to travel regularly within Europe in line with business requirements.
