PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Sitting within our Group Operations structure and reporting directly to the Group Head of Procurement, this position will play an essential role within the organization leading global categories procurement. You will be responsible for developing and executing category management plans that deliver value, sustainability, and strategic supplier partnerships across the organization. You will not have direct report at this time.

This permanent role is preferably hybrid and based in Germany or Poland/ Hungary/ Czech Republic/ Slovakia. Our equipment department is responsible for equipping our modules with furniture, heating, fittings and homeware. This line of business is planned to grow rapidly in the following 5 years so it is great time to join our journey and grow together!

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Establishing global procurement and category management strategies.
• Leading global category supply strategies by managing comprehensive intelligence on suppliers, competitors, and customer trends including product development, market growth, and cost drivers.
• Partnering with selected suppliers under aligned frameworks; conducting quarterly business reviews and developing long-term relationships.
• Ensuring supply security through a capable and reliable global supplier base.
• Negotiating supplier contracts in collaboration with the Legal team.
• Maintaining forward cost curves for products across all markets and Strategic Business Units.
• Providing regular updates and performance reporting to internal stakeholders, including executive leadership and the board.
• Planning and executing timely tendering projects or portfolios in coordination with Legal, Asset Management, and Engineering to ensure best value for the company.
• Proposing category sourcing strategies and procurement plans that align with company goals.
• Identifying, onboarding, and managing suppliers in collaboration with Supplier Development, Sustainability, and QSHE teams.
• Driving supplier development and improvement initiatives; preparing business cases where appropriate.
• Liaising cross-functionally to align procurement activities with broader business outcomes.

Your Skills And Attributes

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Chinese will be considered an advantage.
• 10+ years of procurement, sourcing, and integrated supply chain experience with increasing responsibility in a multi-site, global environment.
• Proven leadership experience in supply management, sourcing, or procurement with the ability to work across all organisational levels and functions.
• Expertise in Best-in-Class procurement processes, tools, and systems.
• Strong negotiation capabilities and excellent knowledge of supply chain operations within large organizations, including experience with technology-driven sourcing processes.
• Experience in commodity management within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Previous leadership experience within a matrixed organization.
• A track record of successful people leadership and team development.
• A results-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• High levels of proactivity, flexibility, and time management; attention to detail and a willingness to learn quickly.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment balancing urgency with quality.
