Ignite is seeking a senior lead for the estimation team in Stuttgart, tasked with guiding cost estimation efforts for turnkey construction projects, integrating AI tools into workflows, and driving process improvements.

The role combines hands-on cost calculation with strategic initiatives, including tender and risk analysis, and collaboration with division management on tender strategy. A strong background in construction estimation and leadership is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Education: Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a comparable technical qualification.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in construction cost estimation, work preparation, or site management within turnkey/building construction.
• Leadership: Initial experience in leading teams or managing project units.
• Software: Proficiency in industry-standard estimation software (iTWO) and MS Office.
• Languages: Fluent / Professional German skills (minimum C1 level).

• Maintain, update, and expand internal master estimation databases and unit price records.
• Lead internal estimation meetings, report directly to division management, contribute to tender strategy, and assist during contract award negotiations.

Your Role & Scope of Impact

In this newly created leadership role, you will take charge of leading and developing the estimation team. You will combine hands-on project cost calculation with strategic initiatives such as process optimization and the integration of AI tools into estimation workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor the cost estimation team, acting as the primary point of contact for daily operations.
• Independent Cost Estimation: Prepare precise, competitive cost estimates and tenders for turnkey construction projects ranging from €30M to €60M (occasionally up to €200M).
• Tender & Risk Analysis: Thoroughly review tender documentation for completeness, identify optimization opportunities, and conduct systematic risk and opportunity assessments.
• Process & Master Data Management: Maintain, update, and expand internal master estimation databases and unit price records.
• Strategy & Negotiation: Lead internal estimation meetings, report directly to division management, contribute to tender strategy, and assist during contract award negotiations.
• Client Engagement: Occasionally participate in client meetings, site visits, and industry events to support business development.

Candidate Profile

Must-Haves:

• Education: Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a comparable technical qualification.
