SGI in Darmstadt is seeking a Google Cloud Data Architect to design modern cloud-native data platforms, define data strategies, and lead large-scale analytics and AI initiatives on Google Cloud.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and engineers to create robust data architectures supporting reporting, advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven innovation across client engagements.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in data architecture, analytics, or cloud data engineering.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

As a Google Cloud Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing modern cloud-native data platforms, defining data strategies, and leading the delivery of large-scale analytics and AI solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

You will work closely with client stakeholders, business leaders, architects, engineers, and project teams to design robust data architectures that enable reporting, advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven innovation.

This role combines strategic consulting, solution architecture, technical leadership, and business development support.

Key Responsibilities

Data Strategy & Architecture

• Define enterprise data strategies and target-state architectures for clients.
• Design and govern scalable cloud-based data platforms using Google Cloud.
• Develop data architecture roadmaps aligned to business objectives.
• Lead data modernization and migration programmes from on-premises and legacy platforms to GCP.
• Establish data governance, metadata management, master data management, and data quality frameworks.
