CUBE is seeking a talented Frontend Engineer to join our new Berlin AI lab. You will build and maintain clean, scalable web apps and AI agent interfaces, with ownership and active participation in UI/UX and product decisions.

You will work with a tight-knit squad alongside another frontend engineer and a PM/Designer, reporting to the Head of Agentic AI Engineering. You will use React, TypeScript, and modern tooling to integrate frontend with backend APIs and AI systems, shaping the user

Role Mission:

We are looking for a talented Frontend Engineer to join our new Berlin AI lab.

In this role, you will build and maintain clean, scalable web applications, such as intuitive AI Agent interfaces that seamlessly integrate into our broader enterprise system. Because we are a small, agile team, you will have ownership of your work; you are highly encouraged to actively participate in UI/UX and product decision-making.

You will work closely within a tight-knit product squad alongside another frontend engineer and a PM/Designer. You will report to the Head of Agentic AI Engineering while collaborating across a compact, cross-functional team of backend and AI engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Build, maintain, and scale frontend applications and services using React and TypeScript.
• Develop reliable integrations between our frontend, backend APIs, and AI systems.
• Work with modern state management like Jotai and component libraries like Mantine to build responsive interfaces.
• Help implement and maintain clean, component-based frontend architecture.
• Collaborate closely with AI engineers to integrate and productionize AI-powered product features.
• Contribute to pragmatic engineering decisions around performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and user experience.

Our evolving tech stack:

• Core: React, TypeScript, Jotai, Mantine, Playwright
• Ecosystem: Claude Code, GitHub, REST APIs

Requirements:

• Strong practical experience building real-world React and TypeScript applications through work, internships, freelancing, open-source contributions, or personal projects.
• Understanding of component-based frontend architecture and modern React development patterns
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and asynchronous data flows
• An eye for good design and an intuition for user-friendly UX
• Experience writing automated tests and an interest in maintainable, testable code
• Proficiency with Git and modern collaborative development workflows
• Strong English communication skills and comfort working in a small, startup-like, tech-driven team

Bonus Points:

• Familiarity with FastAPI, MySQL, and recent AI developments
• Experience with micro-frontends and web component structures
• Experience applying or migrating a new design system within an existing production codebase
• Experience building B2B SaaS or AI workflow products
• Experience in FinTech, RegTech, Finance, Regulatory, or Compliance domains
