Passionfroot in Berlin is seeking a Finance & Operations professional to own the company’s numbers and drive the financial plan. You’ll manage P&L and the balance sheet for both US and German entities, close monthly books, handle tax filings, and ensure audit readiness.

You’ll partner with the Head of Operations to set targets, track performance, own revenue operations end-to-end, and oversee expenses and payroll. The role requires German language and startup finance experience.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a startup ops/finance role.
• Experience with accounting across multiple jurisdictions - US & Germany.
• Fluent German language.
• Strong understanding of P&L and balance sheet fundamentals.
• Comfortable owning revenue operations and financial processes end-to-end.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and trustworthy with sensitive financial information.

About the role

We're growing 13x YoY - and growing that fast only works if we know exactly which number we're growing toward, and why. That's what this role is for. Working closely with the Head of Operations, you'll set ambitious financial targets for the whole company, then own the thinking that gets us there: knowing our P&L and balance sheet inside out, understanding exactly what it takes to hit the number, and turning that into a plan the whole team can rally around. You'll be the person everyone trusts to say clearly where we stand, what's needed to close the gap, and what has to happen next – across accounting for both our US and German entities, revenue, and how the company spends and pays its people.

What you’ll do

Own the numbers

Stay on top of our P&L and balance sheet, keeping them accurate and up to date. Own accounting for both our US and German entities in-house - running monthly reconciliations, closing the books, handling tax filings and compliance, and making sure our financials are clean and audit-ready in both jurisdictions.

Help set the company's financial targets

Partner with the Head of Operations to set financial targets for the whole company, and track performance against them.

Own revenue operations

Run revenue operations end to end - from invoicing and billing to reconciliation and reporting - so revenue data is always accurate and easy to trust.

Own expenses and payroll

Manage company expenses and own salary payouts, making sure everyone gets paid accurately and on time, and that spending is tracked and controlled.

Who we’re looking for

3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a similar operations/finance role, ideally in a startup environment.

Experience with, or comfortable quickly learning, accounting across multiple jurisdictions - ideally US and Germany.

Understands the German accounting and tax system, and speaks German.

Strong understanding of P&L and balance sheet fundamentals.

Comfortable owning revenue operations and financial processes end to end.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and trustworthy with sensitive financial information.

Obsessed with accuracy - you catch errors before they become problems.

Moves fast and communicates proactively - your teammates always know where things stand.

Excited to build and improve financial processes, not just execute one-off tasks.

Success in this role looks like

• P&L and balance sheet are accurate, up to date, and easy for leadership to act on.
• Accounting close is smooth, timely, and audit-ready across both our US and German entities.
• Revenue operations run reliably with clean, trustworthy data.
• Expenses and salary payouts are accurate and on time, every time.
