Zusammenfassung

Menlo Systems in Martinsried, Germany, seeks an FPGA/DSP-focused engineer to own the full FPGA/SoC development lifecycle for control and readout of precision laser systems. You will define digital architectures, implement DSP chains, and verify designs on target hardware.

Collaboration with multiple teams is essential to deliver robust, qualified products. The role requires 2+ years in FPGA/digital design, strong HDL skills (Verilog/SystemVerilog/VHDL), experience with Vivado/Quartus, and good

Qualifikationen

  • Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or a comparable qualification.
  • 2+ years of FPGA/digital design experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog and/or VHDL.
  • Hands-on experience with Vivado, Quartus or equivalent toolchains.
  • Experience with SoC platforms and PS/PL interplay.
  • Solid understanding of DSP and digital control loops.
  • Experience with Python/NumPy or MATLAB/Simulink for algorithm exploration.
  • Hands-on lab work with initiative and responsibility; strong English, German a plus.

  • Develop FPGA/SoC-based digital designs for control and readout of laser systems.
  • Own full FPGA/SoC development lifecycle from requirements to qualified product.
  • Define digital system architecture in crossfunctional collaboration.
  • Design DSP chains and control loops; implement on target hardware.
  • Bring-up, verify, and debug FPGA designs with measurements and analysis.
  • Create verification plans, testbenches, and support system-level validation.
  • Document designs per customer and quality requirements.

  • Ownership of the full FPGA/SoC development lifecycle: from requirements definition and system architecture through RTL implementation, simulation and prototyping to a qualified product

Your profile
  • Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or a comparable qualification
  • 2+ years of experience in FPGA/digital design with Verilog/SystemVerilog and/or VHDL
  • Practical experience with AMD/Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus or comparable toolchains, including synthesis, place-and-route and static timing analysis
  • Experience with SoC platforms and the interplay between Processing System (PS) and Programmable Logic (PL)
  • Solid understanding of digital signal processing fundamentals and experience implementing digital control loops
  • Experience with Python/NumPy or MATLAB/Simulink for algorithm exploration, fixed-point modelling and verification against RTL
  • Enjoyment of hands-on lab work combined with a high level of initiative and sense of responsibility
  • Very good written and spoken English, German is a plus
