Zusammenfassung

Bees & Bears is seeking an FP&A Manager to shape financial strategy and oversee planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across the business. You will partner with founders and senior leadership to deliver data-driven insights that support strategy and sustainability.

You will lead planning cycles, manage rolling forecasts, and produce investor-facing updates. A strong modelling mindset, startup experience, and fluent English are essential; German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; MBA, CMA or CFA a plus.
  • 3+ years in Financial Planning & Analysis.
  • Experience in startups/VC or FinTech/ CleanTech preferred.
  • Strong financial modelling experience.
  • Fluent English; German a plus.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Aufgaben

  • Lead Financial Planning & Budgeting processes and guide resource allocation.
  • Develop rolling Liquidity Forecasts and optimize cash flow with cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare Management Reports with key metrics, variances and trends.
  • Produce Investor Reports with performance updates and outlooks.
  • Perform Variance Analysis to drive actions for leadership.
  • Build and maintain financial models for new opportunities and risks.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Risk and Product for data-driven decisions.
  • Identify process improvements to improve reporting accuracy and speed.

Your Mission

As the first FP&A Manager at Bees & Bears, you will play a key role in shaping our financial strategy. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing the planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. You will also work closely with senior leadership and the founders providing data-driven insights to help inform strategic decision-making and ensure financial sustainability.

  • Financial Planning & Budgeting: Lead regular planning/budgeting processes and provide strategic guidance on resource allocation, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

  • Liquidity Planning & Forecasting: Develop and manage rolling forecasts, assess liquidity needs, and work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize cash flow management.

  • Management Reporting: Prepare regular reports for senior leadership, highlighting key financial & operational metrics, performance trends, and variances against plans/budgets and forecasts.

  • Investor Reporting: Prepare investor-facing financial reports, including financial performance updates, key metrics, and strategic outlooks.

  • Variance Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of financial variances and provide actionable insights for senior leadership to ensure business objectives are met.

  • Financial Modelling: Build and maintain financial models to evaluate new business opportunities, assess financial risk, and support capital raising efforts.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., Sales, Operations, Risk, and Product) to support decision-making with accurate financial insights and analysis.

  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and analysis.

Your Talent
  • At least Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field. MBA, CMA or CFA is a plus.

  • 3+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Experience in a start-up environment, preferably in a venture capital fund or FinTech, CleanTech, or a related technology-driven industry

  • Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel; extensive expertise & experience in building complex financial models

  • Familiarity with database and/or reporting applications is a plus

  • Very gound understanding of financial and non-financial Key Performance Indicators

  • Business fluent in English. German language skills are a plus.

  • Strong ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and translate financial information into actionable insights for leadership.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders, including senior leadership.

  • High level of accuracy and a strong focus on detail while working under tight deadlines.

  • Proactive in identifying challenges and offering creative, data-driven solutions to improve financial performance.

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships within the organization.
