RIZM is seeking specialists to advance the Agentic Energy OS across industrial sites, translating customer insights into robust energy solutions. You will co-build four-layer engines, from Digital Twin to Autonomous Agent, while iterating rapidly based on field feedback.

You are not rolling out a finished product. You are actively building the engine. You deploy our Agentic Energy OS at industrial sites. You are its teacher. You engineer how the tools execute. You enrich them with the energy insights you bring to the table. You iterate on customer feedback in hours, not quarters.

The engine you co-build

The Agentic Energy OS has four layers. You deliver into all four, and your field feedback rewrites them:

• Digital Twin: A live model of a customer's entire energy system: power grid, gas, steam at multiple pressure levels, cold/hot water, waste heat recovery, self-generation, batteries. Smart meter and OPC UA integrations. Calibrated to the customer's reality.
• Decision Hub: The investment-and-strategy layer. Designer scenarios, business cases, what-if analyses, roadmap planning across the customer's portfolio.
• Operation Hub: Cross-market, cross-plant live optimization. Day Ahead, Intraday Continuous, balancing energy. Calculates the internal merit order across the entire plant fleet, feeds prices and volumes into flex-marketer partners.
• The Autonomous Agent: The science fiction layer. Builds Digital Twins autonomously. Reads single-line diagrams, parses SharePoints, asks the right person for missing time series, researches component parameters, runs optimizations, finds savings in €/ton, uncovers contradictions in source data, and reports back.

You are the driving instructor for autonomous driving. The agent needs you — to sit next to the operator, to hear what is said in the break room, to resolve contradictions the AI cannot see, and to stop it from emailing the entire purchasing department at 2 AM. Over time, your job becomes systematically automating away everything you still do by hand: you actively co-develop so that every workaround you find becomes obsolete. The site teaches the engine. You are the teacher.

What you do on a Tuesday

• You work alongside agents handling a customer's chemical site: 12 process steam consumers across 3 pressure levels, an e-boiler option, a CHP (Combined Heat and Power) plant, a waste heat recovery loop.
• You review optimizations the agent has developed to compare a Power-to-Heat investment scenario against the status quo.
• You catch a contradiction flagged by the autonomous agent — two single-line diagrams contradicting each other regarding a transformer rating — and fix it before the optimization runs on bad data.

The Career Path

We have a ladder with a deliberate branch at the Mid/Senior level. Choose the spike that fits you.

Junior — Onsite in Münster | ~60k

You learn the Agentic Energy OS from the inside out. Deliver in supervised deployments. Work with the Agentic Energy OS on real problems. Learn the missing skills, review, and iterate fast. Münster office, full-time, in person — this phase is your apprenticeship, and apprenticeships don't work remotely.

Mid — Industrial Cluster Track | ~80k Base + Upsell Bonus

You move out of Münster into the industrial clusters where the work happens — Rhine-Main, Rhine-Ruhr, Bavaria, Benelux. You are regularly onsite at one or more focus accounts: Pharma, Chemicals, Steel, Automotive. You own the end-to-end deployment, defend business cases at the C-level, expand RIZM's footprint within the account, and earn a bonus for every upsell at your focus companies. This is the commercial spike. Your successes are visible on the company's top line.

Mid — Backend Wizard Track | ~80k Base + Team Bonus

You stay closer to the engine room. Deep agent modeling, eval design, tool architecture, performance work, AI training pipelines, the agentic stack itself. You don't live on customer sites — you build the systems that make every Forward Deployed Engineer 10x more effective. This is the technical spike. Your successes are visible in every customer.

Qualifikation

What we are looking for

Three deep skill areas, plus one transversal strength. You need a strong spike in one of the three areas below, clear curiosity in the other two, and the transversal strength is non-negotiable: you iterate quickly, treat customer feedback as the highest-priority input, and make yourself the fastest signal-to-engine path RIZM has.

Applied AI Engineering — Frontier Startup Level

• You treat hallucinations as an engineering problem, not a vibe. You can convince a customer's CISO that the agent won't go rogue.

Energy Intelligence — Enterprise Level

• DACH / EU power market opportunities: Day Ahead / Intraday / Balancing Energy / Grid Connection — the significance must be familiar to you.
• Energy system understanding: you understand physics and thermodynamics — you have a tattoo of the First Law of Thermodynamics.
• Process understanding: you are razor-sharp at understanding production processes and their energy interactions.
• Optimization intuition: you know what makes a numerical model slow before you even run it.
• OPC UA, Modbus, OT network segmentation are familiar to you.

Commercial Ownership — the third spike

• You sit down with the operator, the plant manager, and the CFO. You extract requirements they themselves don't know how to articulate.
• You build the business case yourself. You don't wait for Product to do it for you.
• You measure your own success in the reduction of EUR/unit at the customer, not in closed tickets.

Plus what we always look for at RIZM: agility, focused ownership, winning as a team, growth mindset, direct-but-empathetic communication.

Language

Today, we expect C1 German. Most of our customers run their operations in German, and the onsite work — the break room chats, the exchange at the OT level, the CFO whiteboards — happens in German. This threshold will drop as the customer base expands across Europe.

If everything else in this posting is a fit, but your German is not yet C1, apply anyway. We keep a focus list and will reach out as soon as we have an opening that fits you.

What this role is not

• Not a Customer Success job teaching people how to use SaaS. It's about Agentic Co-Working.
• Not a 9-to-5. The reindustrialization of Europe runs on a clock we didn't set.
• Not an Algorithm Developer job.
